My mouth opens, but no protest comes out. I can’t argue when asking him to stop would make me a damn liar. Acting this recklessly could become an addiction if I’m not careful, and that’s not a high I can chase.

We’ve crossed every line I’ve ever laid out. Boundaries blur. Should and could have become obsolete.

Still, my mouth shuts. I don’t put up a fight when Grant’s low hum dances down my body.

“Thought so. Good to see you, Coach Green,” he murmurs. “And thanks for the tattoo.”

What are you up to today?

Lainey has an NBA game this afternoon, so we’re doing dinner, gifts, and hot chocolate when she gets home. Very lowkey, but perfect. What about you?

GE

Small dinner with some of the guys. Riley will be there, which is nice. Feels like forever since all of us were together doing something that didn’t involve hockey.

AG

It’s good to be around the people you love this time of year.

GE

Agreed. That’s the whole point of the holiday.

Have a good time with your friends, Lia.

AG

You too :)

Going to any fun parties for New Year’s Eve?
