Fletch:
Just don’t let her off leash. You’ve seen what she’s capable of, and I don’t want her or anyone else getting hurt.
Destiny:

Three dots dance on the screen, but they disappear. A jolt of disappointment rattles me, and I try not to overthink it as I walk across the parking lot toward the building, but when I glance at the screen again, the dots reappear, turning my disappointment into anticipation.

Fletch:
Please don’t dye Molly’s fur.
Destiny:
I see Grumpy Gus has returned. I’ve missed him.
Fletch:
I’m serious. She could be allergic to dye.
His love for Molly touches me deeply, but it bothers me that he doesn’t trust me to know better.
Destiny:
Do you really think I’d do that without your permission? And here I thought we were developing some level of trust.
Fletch:
Do I need to remind you about the bows?
Shoot. He’s got me there.
