Georgia finishes her drink and sets it on the bar top. “What’s that?”

I brush my fingers over her hand that rests next to mine. Goose bumps break out over her skin. I follow the path they lead, wandering over her bare shoulder before pulling her hair tie out and brushing it behind her ear.

Her blue eyes are focused on mine, full of desire.

“I can think of other ways for you to show me what a good cowgirl you are.”

She stands, her chest brushing against mine. “Then I guess there’s only one question.”

Fuck. My dick is rock-hard in my pants, threatening to burst out.

“What might that be?”

“Your room, or mine?”

Chapter Three

GEORGIA

Holy shit.

I cannot believe I’m doing this. I never do anything like this. Georgia? Sleeping with some guy she just met? It doesn’t happen.

Maybe it’s because of the way this whole night has gone. Or maybe it’s me feeding into the tarot reading that Serena did and doing something reckless for once.

The way Grant was looking at me earlier made it an easy decision. Once I had a few drinks at the reception, I wasn’t as upset as I was when I first bumped into him.

It let me appreciate him all that much more. Because wow. I have never laid eyes on any man as sexy as him.

The slight stubble on his jaw. How his biceps filled out the long-sleeved shirt he wore. Or how his longer, brown hair curls at the ends.

The best part was the way his brown eyes tracked mine. Like he wanted me.

It’s not something I’m used to.

Which made me want to do it even more.

Having given him my room number, I came upstairs first to freshen up. Anticipation thrums through me as I await his arrival.

It didn’t take much to touch up my makeup, and even though my dress is ruined, it makes my breasts look amazing.

A soft knock echoes through the room.

Giving myself one last look in the mirror, I head through the bedroom into the living room area.

One perk of being best friends with the owner of the ranch is we all got suites this weekend. I swing open the door, and Grant is standing there with his hands in his pockets.

Why is that so damn sexy?

“Hey.” I hold the door open for him.

He walks past me and I get a whiff of what smells like cedarwood and ginger. I guess he wasn’t the only one that needed a few minutes before this.

“I see you got the nice room.” He spins on his heel, taking the room in.

The suites at The Lost Ranch are homey. An oversize leather couch with flannel throw pillows. A lamp made of old horseshoes. Blown-up photographs of the ranch hang on the walls. The beds are plush—perfect for a night with this man.

“Perks of knowing the owner.”
