“It’s not.”

“You know, I’m starting to think you literally hate the stars,” I say.

He sighs.

“I don’t hate the stars, Winnie.”

“Then prove it. Just tell me what your zodiac sign is.”

“I don’t want to.”

“What? Why!”

“I just don’t want to.”

“I’m not going to share it online or whatever. I’ll keep this information confidential.”

“I’m good.”

“Wait, why do you look kind of scared?”

“…”

“Is this because of the middle child thing?”

“…”

“I swear I won’t say anything. I will receive the information of your zodiac sign with impeccable indifference.”

He stares at me for a few seconds.

“Fine. I’m a Taurus.”

I put out an order to the muscles of my face not to react.

“I knew it.” Levi folds his arm on his stomach. “You flinched.”

“I did not flinch!”

“You did.”

“Levi, stop walking away!” He just got up from the swing to walk toward the front door of his cottage.

“I’m just getting some snacks.”

“Oh, okay then. Salt and pepper chips?”

“Coming your way. Do you also want a grape soda? I found a new brand to try.”

I bob my head, smiling at his slightly pink-cheeked state. While he’s inside his cottage, I take my phone to check our sign compatibility online. I’m not enjoying what I’m discovering, at all.

“What’s with the face, Win?”

“Nothing!” I hide the screen of my phone against my chest. He pointedly stares at the tips of my ears, which are burning hot and traitorously red, I’m sure. Levi’s brows rise.

“I checked our sign compatibility,” I confess.

“And?”
