“Are my boobs really that great?” He gives me a look. “Do you think we’re soulmates? Like do you think you and I were written in the stars?”
“I don’t know.”
“I knew you hated the stars.”
He sighs.
“What I do know is that, in every version of this universe, in every parallel reality, I’d see the sunset and would know a girl who talks in weird metaphors should be by my side. And I’d search for you. I’d find you, Win.”
“Oh,” is all I find to say to such a blatant romantic declaration. I slipped my hand into his. Levi kisses my forehead while we continue looking at our new piece of art. A reminder of our beginning, now hanging in our forever home.
“Remember when you did see my boobs for the first time?”
“How could I ever forget?” he says with a sigh. “It was when you spilled water on yourself.”
“Shit, that’s right! I was so embarrassed.”
“And I was trying really hard not to stare, and I was failing miserably.”
I’m laughing, then he’s laughing.
“What about the first time you saw me? At the gas station?”
“Your breath smelled like coffee,” he says.
I groan. “I knew it!”
“Turns out, I love the smell of coffee. Even on the breath of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen.”
I’m fully blushing. I kiss his bicep, then lean my head on his arm.
“I was pissed off you were so good-looking, after being so rude,” I offered.
We spend a while standing there, recounting moments from our relationship. I use all of these memories to knit new rows on my sweater.

Levi
“Did we just make love..?”
Winnie pushes herself away from my body until I can clearly see the horror on her face.
“No, Levi. Oh my god, take it back. Right now!”
I ignore her, smiling self-contentedly. “We totally did.” She throws the duvet off her, standing up from the bed, sputtering under her breath.
Utterly naked.
“I’m serious! We need to go at it again. And you need to bend me over something and hate fuck me. For the equilibrium that was just broken.”
She’s completely serious.
“Win, I literally just asked you to marry me, and you said yes.” Her whole face shifts, softening with awe and love. She holds her left hand up, where a ring adorns her finger now. I instantly knew that this vintage sparkler with a pink diamond I found online had to grace her finger.
All I said to her while holding this ring between us was:
“Will you spend the rest of your sunsets with me?”
