“Mark me,” I moaned, gripping the silky soft sheets underneath me like they could keep me steady. Damon’s hands on me were brutal and firm. I fucking loved it.

“With pleasure,” he rumbled, then hefted me up and sank his teeth into my neck, marking me as his. I was then pushed back down and fucked deep into the mattress like Damon’s dragon had fully taken over, eager to stake his claim on my willing body. His hand grabbed my length and stroked while he kept thrusting into me with brutal force and I came, my cries muffled by my pillow. Damon roared as he reached his own pleasure, claiming my insides as he came deep within me.

We fell asleep that night in each other’s arms, our first time of many but the one time I would remember forever as our first.

A month later.

“Good morning, everyone,” Headmaster Wren greeted, standing on the balcony overlooking the courtyard like when we were first summoned here. “I bet you’re all wondering why I’ve gathered you here today.”

No one spoke. Most were looking unnerved, like they feared something bad was about to happen. Only Damon and I knew this would be good news. I also couldn’t wait. Tonight my Bunny and I would get our own room, a room we would share for the next year until we graduated. I would soon hold my mate in my arms again. The two times we’d shared a bed together hadn't been nearly enough. Plus I wanted to try sleeping in our bunny forms as well. There were simply too many things I longed to try with my mate.

I looked to Nazuss and briefly worried how he’d take the news. He still hadn’t met his mate, and this wasn’t just a roommate situation according to Wren, no Nazuss would be sharing a bed with his mate, even though they didn’t know one another yet.

“I bring wonderful news!” Headmaster Wren continued. “From this day forward, you’ll be sharing a room with your fated mate.”

Excited cheers rang out around me, drowning out all other noise as students celebrated the good news, some even with kisses to their mates.

“Yes, yes,” Wren chuckled warmly. “I apologize for not telling you sooner, but we want to respect every student and let them meet their mates on their own terms first. But tonight, your lights will guide you to your new rooms. Until then you’ll need to stay out of your rooms, as The Magic is making the changes. This also means that those of you who’ve yet to meet your fated, will tonight.” He then clapped his hands and waved goodbye before stalking back inside the academy.

Damon’s arms came around me from behind. “Ready to be claimed in our bed tonight?”

I grinned wickedly. “Only if I get to claim you, too.”

“Deal.” I was then turned around and pulled into a deep celebratory kiss. I finally had my fated mate and I couldn’t wait to show him off to my fathers and kingdom. My bunny was perfect and most importantly…

He was mine.
