“You said it with a face.”
Pink picked up her iced tea. “I have no idea what you’re talking about.”
“Why does everyone do that when I mention Bing’s?”
She stopped with the glass halfway to her mouth. “Everyone?”
Shit. I should’ve known she’d catch that.
Pink slowly lowered her glass. “Who else made a face?”
“Nobody.”
“Hazel.”
“It wasn’t important.”
“Who?”
I sighed. “Bone.”
Her eyebrows shot up. “Bone?”
There was way too much interest packed into one word.
I immediately regretted saying anything. “Don’t.”
“Don’t what?”
“Whatever you’re about to do.”
“I’m not doing anything.”
“You’ve got a look.”
Pink pressed her lips together. “Where did you talk to Bone?”
“Bing’s.”
“When?”
“Yesterday.”
Her eyebrows climbed even higher. “Bone was at Bing’s?”
“No.”
Pink stared at me.
I stared back.
“Then how did you talk to him at Bing’s?”
“He was riding by.”
“And he stopped?”
“Technically, he turned around.”
