Heat surrounds me.
Bronwyn groans. “Yes. It feels so good.”
She’s feeling my pleasure. I push it outward, instinctguiding me. “You feel so good. This is how I feel, love. This is what you makeme feel.”
And I feel everything. Shim relents a bit, allowing herfeelings to flow through the room. She’s stretched, the feeling not quitecomfortable, but she loves it. She’s full where before she was so empty. Sheloves being surrounded by us, loves the fact that there’s no part of her wearen’t touching. She was so alone. I had Shim, but she was alone and she neededus. Those long years when we weren’t able to feel each other stretched out, adesert plain she was forced to cross.
Her hips move up, trying to keep me inside.
I thrust faster, losing myself in the rhythm. So new. Everyfeeling is new and fresh and better because it’s shared. I love the way she’sopen, sharing her senses, her feelings. Her nipples throb against my chest. Herheart pounds in time to my own.
I feel it, the connection, deep and pure. She flows into meand I into her, mingling down to our souls. Never before did I feel soconnected. Not even to my brother, who holds half my soul.
My spine shivers, Bron gasping as she feels it, too, andthen I drop over the edge. I don’t think about anything but the pleasure thatbubbles up and overflows. I come, thrusting deep and holding myself hardagainst her. Bron is with me the whole way, her body convulsing under mine, bucking up to take more and more of me.
I thrust until I have nothing left and then collapse on topof my bondmate, my bride, my love.
She is finally ours.
And she’s asleep.
Shim stares down at her, his hand tenderly stroking back herhair. “That did it. She can rest now. The potion burned itself out. She’s goingto be all right. We can perform the full bond when we get back to Aoibhneas.”
I roll off her but with no intention of getting up from thebed. I might never leave it again. I cuddle her close, reveling in the heat andscent of our intimacy. My cock is already hard again, but Bron sighs andsettles her head on my chest. Sleep. Our bride needs sleep. We won’t set footout of this room until Bronwyn is well and ready to travel.
Roan will simply have to see things my way. The vampirewon’t be far behind, but I’m done listening to him. The warrior king is readyto take his rightful place, and my first duty is to protect and care for mybondmate. “Let’s rest for a bit and then I’ll go speak to our sister. Roanshould be here by then. We can make arrangements to safely take her back to ourplane.”
“She’ll be happy to see her brothers.” Shim sighs, his armgoing around her waist. “She will not be happy that they’re going into war.”
I shrug. It doesn’t matter. I have my Bron. A guilty feelingsettles into my gut. This plane is Bronwyn’s home. She might not want to leaveit so easily.
And this plane nearly burned her to death. It doesn’tmatter. She promised to obey me, to submit to me, and I want her safe.
Shim settles in on the other side of Bronwyn, nuzzling herneck. “We don’t have to worry about it now. I just want to hold her.”
I let my eyes drift closed. I don’t need to dream this day.I have her in my arms.
ChapterTwenty
Bronwyn
I come awake slowly, in small snatches of realitylaced with the sweetness of the dreams I had.
I keep my eyes closed. I don’t want to leave this placewhere I grabbed my Dark Ones and held on for dear life. When I open my eyes, they’ll be gone again and I’ll either be in the after or still in a dank cellawaiting the time when the executioner will call my name.
A shaft of sunlight is warm on my face and I try to turn. Itry but I’m caught. My eyes fly open, and I look into seriously blue eyes.
“Hello, sunshine.”
I sit up in bed and scream.
There’s movement behind me as something large bangs to thefloor. A man. Another man. I’m in bed with two men. Was. Since one is on thefloor now.
“Bronwyn? Bronwyn, love, you need to stop. Someone willthink we’re killing you, and that isn’t going to be good for anyone.” Thedark-haired man cajoles me as though it’s perfectly normal to be lying in bedstark naked with two men.
“We’re not killing her, but damn me I think I might havebroken my tailbone falling out of bed. Who thought this place would be bigenough?” The second man brushes a hand through his hair and then stands, hisenormous male organ bouncing and pointing straight at me. He frowns down andmakes no move to cover himself. “What’s wrong, a chumann?”
What’s wrong? What’s wrong? I went utterly mad. That’s whatis wrong. All of my life I was told I was insane, and now I know it to be true.I lost my mind and now I’m pulling my dream men straight out of my head.
