“Guess I won’t ever know.”

Penny’s eyes sparkled. “Falcon. Myka wants a ride.”

Damn, if I blinked, I’d have missed it. Triumph swept Falcon’s face as he pulled in immediately.

“Go get your riding gear, Penny, and Myka’s boots,” Falcon ordered. She was already walking away, grinning.

“Babe, you sure about this? I’ll go easy because you’re still injured.”

I was stuck on babe. “Huh?” I finally managed.

“Can you hold on to me? I’ll make it a short trip today because of your injuries,” Falcon repeated patiently.

“You’re taking me for a ride?”

“Yes.” Falcon’s eyes gleamed with amusement.

“But Penny said only old ladies ride on the back of your bikes,” I stated.

“Yeah?”

“I’m not your old lady.” Surely that was obvious.

A slow, sexy smile crossed Falcon’s lips. “Not yet.”

I was speechless. Was this gorgeous man saying what I thought he was? Dawson had taught me that nothing ever seemed what it appeared to be.

“Spell it out,” I ordered.

Falcon snorted, and the loud noise made me flinch. He immediately stepped away, hands in the air. “You’re on the back of my bike because I want you. I’m taking things slow here, Myka, when all I wanna do is rip your clothes off and feast on you. However, you’re nowhere near ready. I don’t give a fuck you’re married. That’s easily resolved. But you need to heal mentally, emotionally, and physically before starting something with me. So, for now, we’re gonna date.”

“Date?” I whispered.

“Yeah.”

“I’m older than you,” I stammered.

“Don’t care.”

“I’ve got Jayes.”

“Yup, and one day he’ll have my surname.”

On unsteady ground, I blinked. “Falcon, I’m moving to a secure location and starting a new life.”

Falcon pointed downwards. “Yup, right here with us. The clubhouse is your safe house, and when our home is built, that will be.”

“Ours?”

“Babe.”

Babe? Was that meant to explain something? Falcon appeared intense but amused. “I’m damaged goods,” I said, and oops, big mistake. Now Falcon looked pissed.

“The fuck you are. You’re hurt because of the asshole you married. I know how that came about. That doesn’t say shit about you, but it speaks volumes about Dawson. If I meet your dad, I’ll beat that fucker ten ways to hell. This will take time for you to grasp, but you will always be safe in my hands and on Rage land. Ain’t ever gonna raise a hand to you or Jayes. Now, any more questions?”

“Loads!” I half-yelled.

Falcon grinned.
