"You don't get to talk to her. You had your chance to talk. Now you gon' talk to me."
Kyrie struggled to push himself up off the floor, but his eyes never left mine. "I ain't trying to fight you."
"Oh, I know that." I took another step towards him. "You ain't trying to fight nobody."
His eyes drifted towards Hulk, who still hadn't moved from the doorway.
"Kaior..." he started.
I shook my head. "I already told you. You don't get to talk to her. You got something to say, say it to me."
He looked at Kaior anyway.
"I was just trying to get her to listen."
"By manhandling her."
"I wasn't gonna hurt her."
"You already did."
That shut him up.
He opened his mouth like he had something else to say, but nothing came out. I stood right in front of him.
"You cheated on her. You embarrassed her. Then after all that, you put your hands on her."
His breathing got heavier.
"I panicked."
"So, you grabbed her?"
"I just wanted her to listen."
"Nah." I shook my head. "You wanted control. You lost her, and instead of letting her walk away, you figured you'd make the decision for her."
Kyrie rubbed both hands over his face.
"I fucked up."
"You damn right you did."
He finally looked back up at me.
"I love her."
I stared at him for a long second before shaking my head, chuckling. "You can kill that love shit. If you loved her, we wouldn't be standing here. Kaior is mine now."
I pointed toward the hallway.
"Go sit your ass in the living room."
"What?" He was standing there looking stupid and confused like I was speaking a foreign language.
"You heard me. Go sit yo’ muthafuckin’ ass in that living room before I decide throwing your ass into that dresser wasn't enough."
I had to talk to this nigga like he a fuckin’ child since he wasn’t comprehending what the fuck I said. Kyrie looked at me for another second. Then he looked at Hulk. Without another word, he walked out of the room. Hulk followed right behind him.
