“What the fuck?” I’m already on my way to the door.

“You asked. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.”

I quickly gather what she means and shake my head in frustration, mostly at myself for being this needy. I let silence make its way through the room, then, “I thought you would hate something like this.” It’s a true statement, but I know I’m just trying to find any way to start a conversation.

“I do.”

“Doesn’t seem like it.”

“Wouldn’t exactly be a good look if the co-captains are refusing to be locked in a room together, right?”

This does do us a favour.

“True,” I say.

“Well, at least we can tell them we talked.”

A weird sound escapes my mouth. I’ve never heard it before but it’s obvious to me what it was, so I try to cover it up with, “That was a great conversation.”

“Haven’t had one so riveting before.”

“You’re telling me.”

“Did you just giggle, by the way?” A look of amusement is plastered on her face.

“I don’t giggle.”

“I don’t think your mouth knows that.”

Fuck, why is she talking about my mouth?

My dick shoots up instantly. I didn’t stand a chance.

Knowing I’m going to lose control if I don’t say something soon, I try to keep the conversation going by explaining, “The whole team clearly doesn’t think we fuck with each other.”

“We don’t.”

“I thought you forgave me? Are we fighting again?”

“We’re not fighting,” she says.

“So what you’re saying is you like me?” I’m using a voice I don’t recognise.

“Surely there’s something in between.”

“No, it’s just that. We’re fighting or you like me.”

She closes the distance between us, and my dick turns into a fucking rock when she grabs it roughly with one hand. “I think you should just say you want me to like you.”

“I think you should get over yourself,” I croak out.

“After you begged me to forgive you?”

“You really gonna…hold that against me?” I can hardly talk with how painful her hold is on me.

I fucking love it.

“No, that’s the one good thing you have done.”
