He nodded. “Wherever you go, flower. I can’t wait to see your garden.”
“We’ll have to bring your plant,” I said, pointing to it in the corner. It was thriving, obviously being cared for well.
I knew he could do it.
“We can bring whatever you want.”
“Then maybe this will be more of Connie’s gift than yours,” I said, lifting what I was working on from under the bed.
It was an almost fully patched hat. It had been so worn in places I thought it would be nice to be fixed.
“I’m not quite done, but getting there.”
He examined it, a deep emotion in his eyes. “It looks brand new.”
“I wouldn’t go that far,” I said. “It’s better though.”
“Thank you, flower. This was definitely a gift for me.”
He kissed me, deep and long, neither of us interested in coming up for air. His hands danced across my bodice, moving to the back to undo the ties. I was wearing one of the light yellow ones I’d packed originally.
It seemed what he used to consider an offensively challenging garment was actually fun to unravel.
“Like unwrapping a present,” he had told me.
Once it was untied he pulled at the laces, until it was loose enough to slide right out of.
He stripped himself in seconds, barely pulling away to do so, clinging to me as if I was the very air in his lungs.
His fingers moved down to pluck at my nipple, his mouth falling to the other, flicking it with his tongue. It took all I had not to moan so loud everyone on the ship knew what we were doing.
Back in the castle we wouldn’t have to worry about it at all. The walls were so thick I could yell to the rooftops and no one would hear.
And for the first time, it wouldn’t be faked.
His thick fingers plunged into my hole, fucking up into me without abandon. He knew I didn’t like soft. I liked him being rough with me. I was instantly soaked as he found that spot inside me that made me thrum.
“I love how tight you are for me, how perfect,” he said against my skin.
“Fuck me, then, and prove it.”
I was flipped so quickly my head spun. Dropped to my hands and knees.
A hard thwap sounded through the room, and my skin stung. He’d smacked me across the ass.
“I thought we talked about your attitude.”
“Did we?” I asked. “I don’t recall.”
“Well let me remind you.”
He landed another blow on the other side. “Count,” he instructed.
“From the beginning, or now?” I asked.
He did it again. “Take a guess.”
On the next one I said, “Four.”
