Putting my glass aside, I was ready to go back to kissing him when the voices got louder, and I turned around to see the source of this annoyance.
“Holy shit! I’ve never flown first class! Thank God Soren paid for this. Babydoll, come check this out. It’s like a spaceship in here!”
My eyes widened as I watched fucking Jessie walking down the aisle with Levi right behind him.
“What the—” I dropped my hand from around Jordan as Miles and Andrei joined them.
“Watch it, Andrei! This suitcase costs more than your school tuition, so don’t just drag it like that, or it will get ruined,” Miles complained while Andrei grunted something after picking up the damn suitcase in his arms.
Feeling like my heart was in my throat, I watched them with wide eyes, my nerves standing on end as I waited for him to show up.
Is this actually happening?
Their little gang still hadn’t noticed Jordan and me as we sat on the other side of the plane, but still. I was almost hopeful that it might just be an unfortunate coincidence and that Camilo wasn’t behind this shit when I saw the flight attendant who served us earlier walking behind Andrei, who was the last to step in. I relaxed in my seat, feeling a bit better, until I heard his voice, and my hair stood on end.
“Watch it, sweetheart,” Camilo told the flight attendant, whose face turned red as he helped her put one of Miles’s suitcases in the overhead bins.
Sweetheart? Why the fuck would he call her sweetheart? I narrowed my eyes at them just as they turned to look my way, as the stupid flight attendant pointed at the empty cabin two rows ahead of me.
The second my eyes crossed with Camilo’s, I swore I saw red.
“You gotta be shitting me,” I hissed, clenching my fists together and putting my shoes back on.
“Shay-Lee?” Jordan, who looked too relaxed for the situation with his calm face, asked once I got to my feet.
“We’re getting off this plane,” I ordered him, eyes focused on Camilo, who was making his way toward us.
Dressed in a black jogger tracksuit, a baseball cap of the same color pulled low on his head, and headphones around his thick neck, he looked sinfully sexy. The fact this was my first thought was a problem in itself, as instead of freaking out that he was here, crashing on Jordan’s and my vacation, I thought he was hot.
Fuck.
Fuck.
Fuckkk.
I opened the overhead bin, ready to pull my suitcase out, when Camilo stopped before me.
“Ain’t this a nice coincidence?” He smiled, reached his hand up, and blocked me from taking my luggage out.
“What the fuck are you doing here?” I hissed, forgetting about the stupid suitcase.
Playing dumb, he frowned. “Looks like I’m going to drink some mai tais in Thailand. What about you?” He then turned to Jordan, who also stood up. “What’s up, Jordy?”
“You’re so out of line,” I snapped, my temples throbbing with rage.
Clearly enjoying this moment, Camilo smirked and brought his eyes back to me. “What’s the problem? The more the merrier, no?”
“Babe, it’s okay. You don’t need to get so upset.”
Shocked, I darted my eyes to Jordan. With a soft smile on his lips, he seemed surprisingly unfazed, which left me stunned.
“Hear him, babe? It’s fine we’re here,” Camilo mocked, but I ignored him as I kept my attention on Jordan.
“Are you serious right now?”
Not giving Camilo the attention he wanted, Jordan focused on me. “You wanted to go on this trip so bad. So don’t let anything get in our way.”
“That’s an interesting choice of words,” I heard Camilo muttering before I leaned closer to Jordan.
