His words surprised me. It was a good surprise but also a I didn’t see this coming sort of surprise. It’d been over a week since I brought it up, and he said he’d consider it. Sure, a week ago, I’d been obsessed with the idea of having a threesome. I wanted to see Levi enjoying himself with another dude, mainly because he found Jordy hot despite not admitting it. That was why I also suggested Jordy in the first place—Levi often looked at him that way. But that was over a week ago. I’d already forgotten about it. That was how my brain worked. Ideas jumped in and out of my brain like frogs. I’d also had the feeling that Levi was against the idea, which was why I hadn’t pushed. Knowing he’d taken the time and really thought about it and said yes made me hyped.

I raised my brows, my lips curving in a smile. “Seriously?”

He nodded. “Yes, but there will be some ground rules.”

Leaning forward, I kissed his cheek. “Whatever you say, Babydoll.” I wanted to kiss him even more, but Levi stopped me with his hand on my chest.

“But before all of that, how do we know Jordan would even be up for it?”

That was one thing I hadn’t thought about. “Why wouldn’t he be?” I asked.

“Well, for many reasons. What if he’s dating someone? Or, what if he doesn’t find us attractive or isn’t into threesomes in the first place?”

I shrugged and lifted my palms in the air. There could be lots of “what-ifs,” but we couldn’t let it keep us from at least asking.

“So, I guess we’d have to ask him.” I pulled out my phone and started typing.

Levi panicked and snapped the device from my hands.

“Wanna have a threesome?” he read out loud, then turned to me and poked my chest with his finger. “You can’t ask that through a text!”

“Why not?”

“Because…” he started saying before he took a deep breath. “You just can’t.”

“Fine,” I mumbled and took the phone back. Deleting my first text, I typed a new one.

He tried peeking at my screen. “What are you writing now?”

“Hey, Jordy, you make us horny. Wanna fuck? X O X O.”

“Jessie!” Levi squealed, and we were finally told by a passing stranger to keep it down. Levi’s face blushed, and he apologized before his eyes darted to me.

I grinned as I tried to swallow down my laugh. “I’m kidding. I just asked if he’s free to hang.”

“You did?”

“Yeah,” I said, lifting my phone to show Levi the text I’d just received back from Jordy. “He asks if Monday works.”

Levi

It was already past seven in the evening, and I was still in our surf shop, doing taxes. When we all looked for jobs two years ago, the guys had no problem finding one. Diesel and Andrei worked for a few restaurants before getting the beach club job, and Jessie found Tish’s Salon pretty quickly.

It wasn’t so easy for me.

Being a waiter like Diesel and Andrei was out of the question because I hated talking to people, most definitely strangers. Working with Jessie was also impossible because I knew nothing about styling hair. Luckily, Chief offered me a job in his surfing shop. At first, I didn’t like the idea because who would want to be surrounded by surfers and tourists all day? But as it turned out, it wasn’t so bad, mostly because I was in charge of keeping the books in order, since I’d always been good with numbers.

“Shit,” I mumbled when I wrote Chief instead of Ashton in the name box. A mistake like this, as simple as it may be, was unlike me. I never wrote the wrong name or filled in the wrong box. I didn’t think I ever got less than an A plus in a test either. That was the type of guy I was. Always focused, and yet, here I was, using Chief’s nickname on a government document.

I was just too distracted from thoughts I wasn’t used to having. One of those being Jordan, and that he’d be here soon. I was so anxious about the conversation we were about to have with him that in one of the tax files, I filled out Jordan’s name.

After we texted him on Saturday, we scheduled to meet today. At first, I thought we’d run into him at school, but he hadn’t shown up, so instead we texted him and asked if he’d be free tonight, and he was.

With Diesel and Andrei at work and with Chief volunteering at the youth center, we’d have the whole house to ourselves. Not that I planned on having a threesome tonight. Of course not. But privacy would do us good when talking about sex.

I was collecting some receipts when the door to the shop opened. God, I hated it when customers ignored the “closed” sign. In fact, I hated customers in general.

“We’re closed,” I said, not bothering to look up from the pile of files I was working on.
