“I have no clue, but it can’t be good,” I muttered before I grabbed his hand and made us walk faster toward where the noise just came from.

“My parents are going to kill me!” was the first thing we heard as we rounded the corner and reached an open bedroom. People had already started gathering around the room, so I needed to pass a few to see what was happening. At first glimpse, I managed to see two naked girls on the bed, covering themselves with the sheets. One was a brunette with huge tits, while the other, oh fuck. The other girl was the one from the parking lot, the Jackass’s girlfriend. The two girls were panicking as they looked at what used to be a floor-to-ceiling window, now shattered. That explained the smashing.

I pushed a few people to have a better look, only to see what I already knew. Diesel was spread on the ground, his hair a mess and his nose dripping with blood, while Shay-Lee was on top of him, hitting his face repeatedly.

“Shay-Lee! Stop it!” the blonde shouted as she tried to grab her bra from the floor.

“You fucked my girlfriend?! You piece of shit!”

“I only did what you couldn’t.” Diesel laughed before he grabbed Shay-Lee’s hips and rolled them over. Now he was the one on top.

“Find Levi and Jessie,” I told Miles before I let go of his hand and ran toward the mess, also called my best friend and the asshole he was choking. I wrapped my arms around his chest and pulled him away from Shay-Lee for the second time today. Diesel’s chest rose and fell with each heavy breath he took, his mouth and nose dripping blood as a wicked smile spread on his face. Shay-Lee was in the same state, if not worse. Only he didn’t smile. He was furious.

“I’m going to kill you,” he shouted right before he tried to charge back at us, only to be stopped by one of his guys, the one who cried about how his parents would kill him.

“Calm the fuck down, man! You already broke the fucking window!” the guy yelled, trying to hold him down.

“I swear to God, Ty, if you don’t let go of me right now, I’ll burn this whole place to the ground. Let. Go.”

Instead of letting go, Ty’s grip around Shay-Lee’s waist only became stronger, and another guy, one of the twins, came to help him.

“Stop it,” I shouted over the mess, holding Diesel tighter. He didn’t resist me. In fact, I didn’t think he even noticed I was behind him.

We already had a crowd of people holding their phones up high while cheering for a fight. Of course they did. Who wouldn’t want to see such a show and upload it to their social media? Idiots. Did they know we were all underage, drunk, and high as fuck? Filming this was like admitting to a crime. Like I said. Idiots.

“What’s the matter, Princesa? Can’t satisfy your bitch, so she goes looking around?” Diesel’s voice was mockingly cruel.

“You son of a bitch!” Shay-Lee spat blood and pushed himself away from his guys’ reach. The moment his chains were broken, he charged at us, and if it weren’t for Diesel elbowing me right in my rib, the two of them would have been kept away, but no. They were at it again.

I heard my name being called over the crowd and turned to see Miles standing with Levi and Jess. I was prepared for the inevitable fight when the monotonous sound of police sirens spread in the air. I’d never been so happy to hear police sirens because, at that moment, the realization sank into everyone’s faces, Shay-Lee and Diesel included, and the cheering turned into panic, causing everyone to start evacuating the place. When I saw Diesel looking around, I knew he was looking for an escape route, and it was my sign to find my own. I turned around and ran to grab Miles’s hand, pulling him behind me as I made our way between the others. On our way out, I made sure to track Jess and Levi. Once I knew all my guys were good, I held on to Miles’s hand as tight as I could and led us out of there. His hand in mine felt good, right. And I then realized how much I would like to keep him close.

We stopped running two and a half miles later. We somehow managed to meet up with the rest of the guys on the way, and now we were all waiting for Miles’s driver to arrive.

From the moment we ran out of the party until now, Miles hadn’t spoken a word, and I was pretty sure we were over. Why? Because once again, we caused a mess. We were a mess. One look around was all he needed to do to confirm it: Diesel’s bloodied ass was nursing a bottle of vodka he’d taken with him from the party, all while smoking like a chimney. Jess was puking his guts into the nearby bushes. Though I was pretty sure it had more to do with the running than the drinking. Levi, well, Levi looked calm as fuck. So I couldn’t complain about him.

“Well, this didn’t end well.” Miles sighed.

Okay, Andrei, here we go. Bracing myself for the bad news, I turned to look at him, ready for my verdict.

“It was awesome!”

I’m sorry, what? I probably looked as shocked as I was because Miles burst out laughing.

“You guys are amazing, how you just knew what to do. The way Levi called the cops? Genius! Just genius.”

Hold on a second. Levi was the one who called them? That really was genius.

“And then we ran here, holy shit. It was like a scene from a movie. All we’re missing is the epic soundtrack.” He stopped to breathe. “I’ve never done anything so…”

“Outrageous?” Jess offered from the bushes.

“Yes!” Miles clapped his hands. “Outrageous! Thank you, Jessie. I feel so alive!”

Okay, wow. I did not expect that.

A bright light came from a car that had just entered the street, and a few moments later, a Rolls Royce Phantom came to a stop in front of us. The driver’s door opened, and a tall blond man wearing a black suit emerged from it. The man turned around the car and stopped in front of us.

“Young sir,” he offered as he opened the door for Miles.
