Her hand falls to my chest as she picks up her pace. “I’m yours. I want to be treated like yours. So show me, Jameson. Am I yours?”

She’s baiting me, and I hate to say that it’s working. I drop my hands to her hips and begin to drive up into her.

She gasps, falling forward, barely catching herself on my chest. I keep fucking her from below, giving her what she asked for. If she wants the unhinged me, she’s getting him.

Her nails dig into my skin, her back arching. I feel her drench me as she comes. I keep fucking her, not giving her a moment’s peace as I chase my own release. She collapses, her arms giving out. I don’t let up. I keep at it until my cock twitches, filling her with my release.

I settle her onto my chest as I try to catch my breath. She mumbles something, but I can’t hear it. I push her hair back from her face and kiss her cheek.

“I’m going to sleep here,” she mutters.

I chuckle. “As if I would let you move an inch.”

I hold her close to me, letting myself enjoy this moment because come tomorrow, we go to war.

CHAPTER

TWENTY-FOUR

Julie

Today has been a disaster, and it’s not even ten in the morning. When I walked into the building, I rolled my ankle while wearing my wedges. Then Curtis, the mailroom employee, spilled coffee on the sleeve of my shirt as soon as I got upstairs. Thankfully, my shirt is black so you can’t tell it’s there, but I know it’s there, and it’s driving me crazy.

As if that’s not bad enough, Mr. VanDuran forgot to pick up his suit yesterday for court today.

“I got it!” Simone, one of our female security guards, says as she rushes toward me breathlessly.

“How did you get it?” I ask, standing.

She hands it over when she reaches me. “The lady from the dry cleaner brought it over. Instead of letting her up, I decided to bring it up myself.”

“You guys didn’t feel like clearing her, huh?” I tease.

She laughs softly. “Not with the heightened security, no. If we can do it and make our lives easier, then I’m all for a little extra work.”

“Thank you. I know Mr. VanDuran will be very excited to have this.”

“Of course.”

We part ways, and I head to Mr. VanDuran’s office and knock on the door.

“Come in.”

I open the door and hold the dry cleaning bag in front of me.

“Finally something is going right today,” he mutters as he stands.

“I’m glad I’m not the only one having a rough day,” I joke.

His eyes narrow. “Is everything okay? Is someone bothering you?”

I shake my head. “No, nothing like that. Just a clumsy morning is all.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes. Now you better get changed before you’re late for court.”

He looks at the clock over my shoulder and curses under his breath. I have to bite my tongue to stop myself from scolding him.
