Instead of using words, I push forward, using my body to show him how I feel.
“What are you doing, Angel?” he asks as I climb into his lap.
“Showing you how much I appreciate being your old lady.”
“I fuc…freaking love having you as my old lady.”
I smile. “Did you just censor yourself?”
“I guess I like making you happy,” he admits.
I lean in, kissing him like crazy.
“Who knew the big bad biker could be soft for his angel,” I tease.
He cups my cheek. “No one knew I could be like this because I didn’t even know myself. You make me want to be better. You make me want to put down roots.”
“I thought your brotherhood was your roots,” I whisper, pressing my lips to his neck.
“They are supposed to be, but if I’m being honest, I was planning to go nomad once I finished my business here.” His hands grip my hips, pulling me closer.
I can feel him hard and ready beneath me, but this conversation is important, so I pull back.
“Is that still your plan?” I ask.
“Would you go with me if it was?” he challenges.
I consider it for a moment. Would I give up everything for him? We’ve had this discussion before, but now it feels like things have changed. My answer has changed. Because if it meant getting to spend every day with him, I’d do anything.
“Yes.”
It’s a simple word, but it says so much more.
He leans in, his forehead on mine. “I don’t plan to leave. I would never take you away from your home. Where you are is where I belong. If that’s here, then I stay here. Besides, the brothers are starting to grow on me.”
I let out a relieved breath. “Good, because I have family here. A life. I would leave it for you, but I really hoped we could build a life together here.”
“If this is where you are, this is where I’ll be.”
That’s all I need to hear.
Yak
I’ve been more honest with Julie than I have with anyone in my life.
I never thought I would find someone I am willing to give it all up for. If she asked me to go straight, I would. I wouldn’t even look back. I would take the licks I’m sure the club would give me, and I would walk away.
Thankfully, she hasn’t asked that of me, but the fact that I would do it rocks me to my core.
I love this woman.
I never believed in fate or destiny. It was all bullshit, but looking at this woman now, I wonder if she was meant for me.
Needing to get out of my head, I stand with her legs wrapped around my hips. Turning, I lean her down onto the bed until I’m hovering over her.
I don’t say a word. I don’t need to. I can see the same feeling reflected back to me in her eyes. Even if neither of us is ready to say the words out loud, the feelings are there.
Starting at her forehead, I pepper kisses all over her face, making her giggle. I love hearing her so happy. I kiss each of her eyes, her nose, and her cheeks. Then I press my lips to hers. It starts off playful but slowly becomes more. She wraps her arms around my neck, her hands in my hair. Her legs come around my hips, pulling me closer. When she pulls at my hair, I groan.
