“I can tell,” I say, gently nudging his hard cock with my leg.
He groans. “I can’t stop it. Every time I’m near you, I’m hard.”
I giggle like a schoolgirl as my happiness spills over.
“Do you fancy dessert now?” he asks, suddenly rolling me onto my back so he can loom over me.
“I thought we just had it,” I tease as he trails his finger between my breasts, making my nipples pucker.
“Hmm. I could eat more, though.”
His words might be innocent, but they drip with innuendo, making my thighs clench.
“I…I…uh…”
“I promise you won’t regret it.”
Every muscle south of my waist tightens, heat flooding my core.
Before I can say anything else, he swings his legs off the bed, giving me a fantastic view of his muscular back and bubble ass before tugging his sweats up. Thankfully, he leaves them hanging low on his hips and foregoes putting his shirt back on.
“I’m gonna go and—shit.” He pauses at the end of the bed, his eyes on his closed bedroom door. “The bird has gone, right?”
I can’t help but laugh. “Yes. I watched it fly out the windows and closed them quickly so it couldn’t get back in.”
He releases a heavy sigh of relief, nods, and continues toward the door.
“How did it even get in?” I ask, rolling over so I can keep watching him.
“My housekeeper was in today. She has an obsession with opening the windows to let the air in. Something she’s going to stop from this point forward. Go clean up, I’ll have dessert ready in ten minutes.”
Calvin disappears from my sight, but I don’t immediately roll out of his bed. Instead, I push my face into his pillow and inhale.
I’m in Calvin Keller’s bed.
A little thrill goes through me, and I kick my legs in excitement.
But it’s not just Calvin Keller’s bed. It’s Vinny’s bed. That sweet boy from that summer all those years ago.
Calvin is the man the rest of the world sees. Vinny keeps himself hidden. And I’m so unbelievably grateful that I’m one of the ones who gets to know him.
After breathing in his scent for longer than I’m willing to admit, I roll onto my stomach and stare at the photo of us.
We’re so young and innocent. Both of our faces were glowing from long days out in the Texan sun. Calvin’s hair is almost blond from the amount of time he spent outdoors, and it’s also short and spiked on top. Looking at him, it’s easy to see how I missed the obvious. He was small back then; he didn’t look like a hockey player at all. But years of hard work has changed everything.
He isn’t a boy anymore. He’s all man.
My man.
With a smile playing on my lips, I grab my discarded pajamas and pull the door open that Calvin emerged from earlier, glad to find a bathroom.
I shake my head at the thought of him hiding in here from that tiny bird.
Once I’ve cleaned, I head back out to find Calvin setting two bowls of dessert on his coffee table.
“That looks incredible,” I say, eyeing the fresh fruit that tops the bowls.
“It’s a cheat—Greek yogurt instead of cream.”
