And because I feel safe with Vandal, I move my hand to my clit.

“Fuck. Yeah, rub it, Daze. Wanna feel you come around me so bad.”

The scent of musk and sex thickens in the air, and I know I’ll never look at this bathroom the same way again.

“Wanna suck on those tits of yours again. Fuck ‘em, maybe.” Vandal buries his head in the crook of my neck. “Fucking sweetest pussy. So fucking…tight,” he says. The words are punctuated with a grunt.

I close my eyes and let myself slip into the fantasy of it. That I’m in…my man’s… hands. That he’s worshipping my body as he fucks me.

I grip hold of his broad shoulders and take in his stupidly handsome face. I love this man. And maybe it will be funny to look back one day and remember that I realized it while he was fucking me in a bathroom.

But it doesn’t diminish it at all.

And suddenly, I’m hurtling to the edge. “Van, I’m going to come.”

His lips crash against mine, stealing my breath. His strokes increase in pace. “Me, too. Ah, fuck, yeah, Daze. Come with me.”

My head cracks against the wall when I do as he says. Light explodes in the dark room. “Gideon,” I cry, uncertain how I remembered to use his name.

“Right…fucking…with you, Daze.”

I’ve had sex before. And not just with Elsie’s dad. But this is the first time I’ve truly felt that this is what my body was for. Even my orgasm burns brighter, lasts longer. And I continue to shudder as Vandal stops thrusting and pulses deep inside me.

His entire body presses up against me, holding me firmly. And I manage to drag my hands from between us.

Breathlessly, Vandal kisses me, punctuated with gasps for air.

“Fuck me, Daze,” he says.

I cup his flushed cheeks and kiss him softly as he gently rocks in and out of me just a fraction.

His hands settle beneath my ass again as the air around us settles.

“Hey,” he says, finally.

“Hey,” I repeat.

His expression softens. “I really did miss you. Those ten days sucked. But I needed them.”

“Are you doing better? I mean, I know nothing is going to be fixed that easily, but…”

Vandal smiles. “Yeah. I’m doing better. And I’m glad, because I would have missed this.”

“Bathroom sex?” I ask.

He shakes his head with a knowing smile. “Starting the rest of my life with you.”

VANDAL

I’m half asleep when the whispered voice outside my bedroom window drags me from the first decent sleep I’ve had in weeks.

“What the fuck am I doing up at this time on a Saturday morning?”

For a few seconds, I don’t move. Someone is in my yard, cursing about being there. And that someone sounds a lot like Sunny.

The room is dim, just allowing the occasional sliver of light around the edges of the blinds, and I feel so goddamn comfortable that opening my eyes feels like a bad idea. My body aches, but it’s from railing Daisy against the bathroom door and not from whiskey and pills.
