His eyes were so mocha, she swore she could smell coffee and chocolate even though she knew damn well there wasn’t a drink other than Gatorade and water within a hundred yards.

And his muscles—Lordy, his muscles. The man had held her with his hands cupping her ass in the middle of her hotel room and fucked her to a glorious orgasm without needing the wall for support.

She clenched her inner muscles and was grateful for her sunglasses, which hopefully hid the blatant appraisal she was doing right now.

“Um, Amil. Welcome to the Mountain Lions.”

He smirked and did a deliberate sweep of her person with those beautiful eyes.

She clenched again. If he kept it up, she was going to have an orgasm while standing there.

“Thanks. Anything I need to know? Should you and I get together for a private meeting?”

“What for?” she asked, her brain clearly not functioning at full capacity.

“I’m pretty sure there are a few positions we didn’t get to last time we saw each other.”

Her mouth fell open. No doubt her cheeks were dusky too. They certainly felt hot. Like fire, all over her skin.

And especially between her legs.

Out of nowhere, somebody barreled between them with such force that Diana stumbled backward and might have fallen if Amil’s arm hadn’t shot out and grasped her bicep to keep her upright.

“Thanks,” she said, glancing over to see who had charged between them like that.

Jalen was stalking off the practice field.

Oh, shit.

Chapter

Three

Yeah, Amil should not have approached Diana like that. And he sure as hell should not have propositioned her.

He was supposed to be making friends with his new teammate, not firing Jalen up even more than he already was.

For fuck’s sake, Amil hadn’t been able to resist.

When he said she looked good, he meant, holy shit, she was fucking amazingly beautiful. So much so that his brain had immediately misfired. All it could focus on was checking her pulse.

Was she still as into him as he was her?

The way her gaze lapped him up like warm cream behind those not dark enough sunglasses had triggered some of the best memories of his damn life, hands down.

And now he had a hard-on, which was impossible to conceal in his gym shorts. Luckily, everybody on the field was focused on the photographer, who, if Amil had to guess, had a broken kneecap.

Ouch.

“That’s not good,” Amil said, trying to change the subject so his dick would calm the hell down.

“What isn’t? The photographer’s obviously broken leg or Jalen’s obviously injured pride?” Diana asked.

A small laugh burst from his mouth. “Both?”

“You’re right,” she said, her arms crossed, her gaze on the photographer, who was being tended to by a couple of team trainers while they waited for an ambulance to cart him off to the hospital.

Abruptly, she turned to him. Watching her face was akin to staring at the sun. Painful, and yet he could not look away.
