there. I need to show them I'm
on top of things.
Gabe: We'll show them together.
Are you at home yet?
Lina: About to go home. You?
Gabe: Not yet. I should be able to go
home in an hour or so.
Lina: Did you ever consider getting
a sofa bed and toiletries in your
personal washroom at the office?
Gabe: haha, no. But I'll admit I've
caught up on sleep on the sofa before.
Made the glass opaque, locked the door,
and caught a few Zs a couple of times.
More comfortable than I imagined,
to be honest.
Lina: Are you running yourself to the
ground, Gabe?
Gabe: Are you worried about me?
Lina: you've been a wonderful friend.
A little bit of care is warranted.
Gabe: how little?
Lina: a little.
Gabe: okay, okay. I'll take that. And I'm
not running myself to the ground.
This will be only for a couple of years.
Lina: I keep telling myself the same.
I hope we're both right. Good night, Gabe.
Gabe: Sleep well. See you tomorrow.
I know I shouldn't feel anticipation over seeing Lina, but if I couldn't blame my brain, I couldn't blame my heart and body, either.
