Her eyes jumped back to mine, “You aren’t mad though? I don’t know why you aren’t upset I didn’t recognize you?”

I shrugged, “The glamour is very good, and honestly, I wasn’t sure what any of it meant. If I couldn’t stay, then I didn’t want to push anything between us.”

Her entire body tensed, “What? You were going to leave?”

“I’m not supposed to be here. The bond pulled me through and I’ve managed to convince Lord Arafel to let me stay. At least for now. Traum and Bailey are here, so that helped my case. “

Lulu’s jaw dropped, “Your brother, he’s an incubus too?” Her hand immediately slapped her forehead, “Oh God, of course he is. He’s your brother and–oh my gosh–are they–?”

I leaned in, pressing the softest kiss to her lips again. I felt her lips slowly close, then part again, a smile curving the bow of them.

I pulled away, “I love that mind of yours.”

Lulu’s eyes sparkled, and her teeth bit into her lower lip with a quick little sigh. “Did you just poison me with more of your sex-inducing saliva?”

I flushed, “Oh, Hades, I didn’t mean, I just like kissing you.”

Her mouth found mine, a hard kiss that let me rock back on my heels. “Lulu….your head.”

“-Is fine. I feel fine, better than fine. I feel…God, is it weird to say I’m relieved. I was so worried that you didn’t feel the same way, and all this time, you’ve been waiting.” Her hands sunk into my hair, tugging slightly until I met her gaze. “I don’t want to wait any more.”

I blinked, my body strung tight as her hands continued to play along the edges of my horns. “What are you saying?”

“I want you,” Lulu said, “I’ve wanted you since I met you, but I’m not waiting a moment longer.”

“Fuck, Lu, you’re asking a lot of me.”

Her brows lowered and I chuckled, grunting as I pushed to my feet. “What do you mean?”

I reached down, pulling her first to stand and then tucking her arms around my neck, I gripped the backs of her thighs. “Jump.”

She obeyed, now looking down into my eyes as I walked us from the living room towards her bedroom. I didn’t need to ask, I could smell the sweetness of her scent leading the way. My foot kicked the door shut behind me, never losing my hold on the woman in my arms. I could sense the questions lurking again, the way she squirmed ever so slightly against my hold. “What did you mean, Zaldi?”

“I meant, mate, that you’re asking me, who has been waiting to have you since I first met you, to take you for the first time here?”

She looked around, and I leaned over, letting her fall lightly onto the comforter of the bed. “Uh…”

“Which is why I can’t fuck you here. Because once I start, I won’t be able to stop. And I don’t think your family is ready to come home to me fixing this bed after we break it.”

I gaped at him as he shrugged out of the jacket he’d still been in and tossed it behind him on the floor. I was so distracted I almost didn’t realize he was folding, falling to his knees at the foot of my bed.

“Zaldi…”

His head cocked, those dark, dark eyes shimmering up at me, “Whatever you are thinking, please, understand that the idea of tasting you,” he swallowed, the sound loud in the quiet of the room, “Feeling you against my tongue, has driven me to near madness.”
