“Okay, what?” Renza shouted back.
“Aww hell nawl,” I mumbled when I looked toward the passenger window and saw my cousin and Renza just a few feet away from the car arguin’ like they was crazy while me and Kay’Lo was in the damn car booty butt ass naked.
“You see?” I asked, starin’ at him, waitin’ on him to actually fix this shit.
“Fuck…” he muttered before draggin’ his hand down his face.
His dick had already gone soft, and I climbed off him to wrestle with my damn dress. This wasn’t one of them dresses you could just throw back on either. It had straps crisscrossin’ every damn where, and since I had every intention of leavin’ iton the floorboard until we got inside, I never paid no attention to how I took it off. Now I was payin’ for the shit.
One strap ended up behind my back the wrong way, another one wrapped around my arm, and my fuckin’ head was stickin’ through the wrong damn hole.
“Lord…” I muttered, still fightin’ with it.
On the side of me, Kay’Lo was havin’ problems of his own.
He hurried and pulled his jeans back on, but he ain’t even bother buttonin’ or zippin’ ’em. They hung low on his waist while he searched around the car for his shirt.
Outside, Sha’Nelle and Renza was still arguin’ loud enough for us to hear every damn word.
“I said leave me the fuck alone!”
“You keep tellin’ me that like I’m supposed to listen!”
Kay’Lo closed his eyes for a second. “They done killed the whole fuckin’ mood.”
“This is crazy,” I replied, finally gettin’ one shoulder where it belonged.
He looked over at me while pullin’ his jeans up, then frowned. “Baby…”
I glanced over at him while I was still fightin’ with my dress. “What?”
“Yo’ head… it don’t look like it fit in that part.”
I stopped and looked down at myself.
“Oh my God,” I groaned when I realized my head was still stickin’ through the wrong damn strap. “I ain’t got time for this.”
I snatched the dress back down, and shoved my arm through the right hole while Sha’Nelle and Renza kept arguin’ loud as hell outside.
Kay’Lo pulled one twisted strap straight with one hand, then reached for the door.
I pushed my hair back over my shoulders and smoothed my dress down the best I could.
Kay’Lo climbed out first while zippin’ his jeans, and I hurried out right behind him.
Neither one of us looked the way we planned to look when we got out the car, but at this point it ain’t even matter.
“Aye! Aye!” I shouted as I hurried toward them with Kay’Lo already walkin’ a few steps ahead of me.
Kay’Lo ain’t waste no time. He grabbed Renza by his arm and guided him off to the side while I walked straight over to my cousin.
“’Nelle.”
The second she looked at me, fresh tears rolled down her cheeks.
“Bitch…” she whispered before shakin’ her head.
I wrapped my arms around her without even thinkin’. “Come on.”
