“Keep purring," I ordered, undulating my hips so he was rubbing in just the right spot. Bracing both hands on his chest, I rode him, blindly searching for that last orgasm I knew was coming.

I heard his purring in my ears but also felt it through my pussy. I clenched around him and moved faster. Panting, I closed my eyes and focused on the feel of Maz inside me.

Maz roared, and I heard something snap. I opened my eyes to find he’d broken the bracket off the wall!

“No more teasing,” he snarled.

He grabbed my hips and rolled us over. Growling, he pounded into me. This primal part of him was new and tipped me over the edge. An overwhelming orgasm ripped through me, making me scream.

“Yes, come on my shaft,” he said, his voice deep and menacing. “Drench me in your juices. I’m going to fill you. You’ll be covered in my essence inside and out. My oil on your skin;my seed inside you.”

Those last words were growled. I felt warmth fill me, making me gasp. I knew I was imagining it, but it felt like the pleasure bounced back and forth between us like waves in a pond.

Did psychic orgasms exist?

Finally his entire body shuddered, and his movements slowed to a soft roll of his hips.

I looked up at Maz, my eyes feeling hot with unshed tears. “I love you.”

“You are my scent-bonded partner,” he whispered. I figured that was Talin forI love you too.

This was suddenly so real. Maz wasn’t only my rescuer, but my lover and beloved. I had the life I’d dreamed of as a girl. I was safe. I was loved. And I was happy.

Nadia’s cries broke the moment. Maz pulled out of me and scrambled to his feet.

“Rest,” he said. “I’ll bring her to you.”

“At least she gave us enough time for the good parts,” I murmured, sitting up to take her from him. Maz’s regular purring filled the air as I nursed our daughter.

No, I didn’t mess that up. She was our daughter now. His and mine. And this was our perfect life.

Chapter 20

Mika

I looked down at Nadia. She was sleeping like a champ with a little smudge of lunch on her cheek. She was so damn adorable. She even managed to eat some of the mushy food I’d shaped into a six on a plate before making a fun mess with the rest of it.

“Turning six months old is a lot of work,” I murmured as Maz walked back into the fenced-in area he’d created for us.

“She liked the special meal you fixed her,” Maz said, standing over me and holding out a mug of tea. After I accepted it, he sat down on the mat with me. Once Nadia fell asleep, he’d helped me clean up, then taken the dirty plate back to the galley and returned with tea.

“I think she liked the small amount she managed to get in her mouth,” I said with a chuckle.

“I know she’s still feeding from you and only learning to eat solid food, but I worry. What if she never gets enough intoher mouth to keep her nourished?” Maz asked with a worried rumble. “I should design a food conveyance system for her.”

I snorted the tea I was trying to sip then started violently coughing. Maz let out a little squawk at the same time he sounded a loud rattle of surprise. He set his mug down and took mine and then spoke with frantic speed.

“Mika, what happened? What can I do? You’re not breathing correctly!”

I needed to comfort him, but I was struggling between the urge to cough, the desire to laugh, and the requirement for air between the two of them.

“I…fine,” I gasped. He reached down to grab me, probably to carry me into the ship, but I smacked at his arms. “No, fine.”

The day was too beautiful to go inside. There were fluffy clouds moving across the sky, and the air smelled soft. At least that’s how I described it.

He hovered over me until I was able to talk.

“I pulled a little tea into my lungs,” I explained.
