“Such a tease!” I laugh as he twists his head back to me with a wide smile, and then my stomach bottoms out and drops to my damn vagina because Derek picks up my other hand, dips a finger into my Lemon Drop, and sucks it.

Something is wet…

Oh, wait, it’s me.

This man has me hornier than an old man on Viagra.

When the song ends, I don’t notice the shouting in the background or the way my friends are being scolded—instead, my attention is focused solely on him.

Derek tilts his head, his jaw working before he bites his lip.

“I give it a solid five out of?—”

He grabs my throat lightly, pulling me close to his face as he bends down to my eye level. I gulp, feeling my throat workagainst his giant palm and grow wetter from the sight of him. This close, he smells of rich pine and vanilla.

“Listen, Blondie, I only did this to please you, but trust that I know other ways to,” he says, his words like a caress against my skin. He leaves me frozen as he takes his shirt from behind my head and strides back over to our friends.

“What the fuck just happened?” I ask aloud, as a loud crashing followed by Jace’s curses brings me back to the present.

Seven bouncers are hauling my idiot friends out of the club…Great.

“SHOTS! SHOTS! SHOTS!” My shouts echo through the club as Derek and I push our way through LUX nightclub.

After the boysso graciouslygot us booted from Lovely Larry’s, Jace suggested hitting up his brother’s club a few blocks away.

LUX is crowded with people on each of its four floors. We’d all been on the VIP only floor when I suggested another round of shots. To my disappointment, my girls werenotfeeling more alcohol, and I’m pretty sure Denver and Ryan are hanging around Formula One drivers right now.

So, Derek is my company. I guess that’s what happens when you both share sad stories and a lap dance over a few drinks.

Derek holds my hand, guiding me through the packed nightclub. He’s holding my hand tight, looking back every few seconds to make sure that I’m still next to him. The feeling of his protectiveness has my heart tripling as he gets to the large LED light-covered bar on the side of the room.

When my body is lifted, and my bare legs connect with the cold bar top, I yelp.

“Hold on to my shirt,” he says, no room for questions as he grabs my hand, placing it on his chest. Derek spreads my legs slightly, allowing space for his body, and my core throbs from his warmth being so near.

I’ve got to get a handle on these feelings.

“Can I get a shot of Respasado, some sugar, and limes?”

My eyes widen; sugarandlimes?

“Wh… What’s that for?” My voice comes out shaky as Derek smiles disarmingly at me.

“You said you wanted to let loose, right?” he asks, a teasing smile on his face as I mirror him, tilting my head with a smile.

“Something like that…”

Derek doesn’t respond; instead, he takes the jacket he’d been wearing and places it down on the bar.

“Dealer’s choice, right?” he questions, reciting my line from earlier.

My heart rackets against my chest, sweat beading at my temple as I chew on my bottom lip, nodding.

“Good, now lie back.”

“Oh… Okay,”

Leaning back, I rest my head against his jacket. From this angle, I can see the rapid rise and fall of my chest as Derek pulls my pants down slightly for better access to my belly button.
