“So, are you guys looking forward to the next party?” I asked as we ate.
“Yes, always,” Tristen answered. He chewed some and after he swallowed the food, he added, “It’s the last weekend in September.”
“The one after that will be the last weekend of October and will be themed for Halloween,” Joel explained.
“Will the October one have vendors?”
“No, but vendors are scheduled to attend the September and November events. And that will be it for the year,” Joel said before taking another bite of the pizza.
“The fairs do well in November for the small businesses because most of the guests pick a few items up to give to friends as gifts. We try to do the fair in November to help out the small businesses.”
“That’s good,” I commented before I devoured the fluffy crust.
Joel and Tristen seemed to stare at one another for a few moments, as if having some sort of silent conversation. I looked down at my plate and ate my pizza.
“You know, we’re always looking to add vendors and small businesses to the fair portion of the parties,” Joel began. He and Tristen were both staring at me.
“Yeah?”
“Are you interested in earning some money with your artwork?” Joel asked.
My artwork.
Was I dreaming? I swallowed the last of the thick crust and quickly repeated what Joel said to make sure I hadn’t conjured up some fantasy. “My artwork? Like, my sketches?”
Joel wiped his hands on his napkin and got up from the table and walked to the kitchen counter. He picked up my sketchbook and flipped through the book as he walked back to the table. He turned the sketchbook around to face me and Tristen. Staring at me was an image I’d drawn last year sometime of Braxton jacking off in the shower. I swallowed hard as I felt the heat of embarrassment rise up my neck again.
“This kind of artwork,” Joel said.
He turned the book back around to face him and flipped through some more pages. He smiled at whatever page he wasstaring at and then turned the sketchbook around to share. This page was of Braxton banging Quinn on the deck of the cabin.
“I like the scenery in this one,” Joel expressed. “They’re all so captivating. Raw. Visceral. And I think a lot of guests would enjoy this.”
While Joel continued to turn pages in the sketchbook, I quickly came to the realization that while Tristen and I were upstairs, Joel had seen the sketchbook I’d left on the table. He obviously could see that I did artwork that wasn’t just sketch porn, like Frank and Trudy’s place. I wondered if he’d seen the sketches I’d drawn of him and Tristen; thankfully, they were clothed in most of the sketches, except for one.
“This is one of my favorites, though,” Joel said as he turned the sketchbook around.
Ah yes, and that was the one.
It was the sketch where Tristen and Joel were getting blown on the deck by the air conditioning service tech. I was thoroughly embarrassed, yet my dick was getting hard.
“I can explain that one. I wasn’t spying. I have a pair of binoculars and would scan around the lake each morning as something to do.”
“I don’t think you need to explain anything,” Tristen said while picking up another slice of pizza.
“Artwork exactly like this. What do you say, Cash?”
It took me no time at all to consider and decide. It was an absolute no brainer to possibly make some money doing exactly what I loved to do.
“Yes. I’d love to.”
I was going to a private party at Equinox.
