I’m good with that.

I glance over and my eyes lock on Aspen’s beautiful gaze. She glows like sunlight on the mountains around us.

I swear I feel her heart settle in mine.

I grin at her and she runs at me, throwing her arms around me. Her lips meet mine.

And I finally feel like I’m living again. Loving again. Only because of her.

Epilogue: Aspen: Two years later

It’s been a horrendously long three months. The last few months of the tour. It stretched until it felt like forever.

But my doctor refused to let me travel anymore. And Hunter threw an ever-loving hissy fit.

As much as a gorgeous man can anyway.

“I’m home, sparkles. How are you feeling?”l

I glare at him and lift my arms for him to help me up. “Well, your children are acting like rabbits and jumping all over my insides. So not great!”

My husband winces. “I’m sorry, sweetheart. Do you want me to rub your feet for you?”

I scrunch my nose. “No. But I wouldn’t say no to some ice cream.”l

He grins and leans down to kiss my nose. “Neapolitan?”

I huff happily. “Obviously. That’s the only ice cream with three perfect flavors in it.”

He laughs but then he leans down again and his lips claim mine. His tongue darts along my lips and then presses inside my mouth, tangling with my tongue. I can taste the mint and coffee on his breath.

My head reels and I lean up to grasp the color of his flannel shirt. His mouth devours my whimper and I push harder to stand up but he pushes me away, his breathing ragged and rough. “Holy shit, sparkles. You’re killing me here. You’re on bed rest.”

I groan and lean back, my sigh dragging out. “Ugh. Stupid doctors. She’s just worrying too much.”

“You got dizzy and then passed out. She’s not worrying too much.”

“I know. And then she ran and tattled to you which is why you cut your mini-tour short,” I huff, crossing my arms.

“You should have told me yourself, baby. And we’re gonna talk about that later,” he growls. “But for now, I’m home and you’re about to find out what it’s like to really be on bed rest.”

My brow lifts. “You could join me on bed rest,” I grin and wheedle.

He shakes his chestnut head. “You’re a naughty girl and as soon as that doctor lifts your bed rest I’m gonna be on you like you’re the last cookie in the jar.”

I laugh. “You love my cookies.”

He leans down and kisses me, deep and rough. “You have no idea how much I love your cookies.” He stands up and then pats my cheek lightly. “But for now…ice cream.”

I toss my head back onto the couch cushions and sigh. My whole body feels like it’s on fire and there’s only one thing she wants and it’s hiding in my husband’s jeans. I can see the bulge behind his zipper and my mouth waters.

But before I can make another suggestion, he wags a finger at me. “Settle your pretty ass down. You need to rest.”

I stuff my tongue between my teeth and sigh. “Alright.”

We only have two more months to go until the twins get here. Jared and Michael. Two boys.

I thought my poor husband was either going to faint or he was going to rip his shirt, puffing out his chest so much.
