“Hey. We don’t have to stop. But, we should probably take this upstairs.”

CHAPTER

FOURTEEN

MONROE

I'd kissed him. Actually kissed him.

And instead of pushing me away...he'd kissed me backandpulled me into his lap. Where I shamelessly rubbed all over him like a dog in heat.

Now he was holding my hand and leading me upstairs.

He paused outside his bedroom door, and cupped my face.

A laugh bubbled up in my chest before I could stop it.

"What?" Clay asked.

"I kissed you."

"You did."

"I can't believe I kissed you."

His grin widened. "I'm having a hard time believing it, too."

My jaw dropped. "Hey."

"I'm not complaining."

"No?"

"Not even a little." He pulled me in for another kiss.

Butterflies erupted in my stomach.

“Do you want me to stop?”

“Don’t you dare.” I playfully shoved him inside his room.

Clay closed the door then spun me around and pinned me against it. “You sure about this, Monroe? I don’t want you to feel pressured.”

I wrapped my arms around his neck. “Oh you sweet, sweet man. I’ve never been more sure of anything in my life.”

His lips crashed against mine in a frenzied hunger. His hands found their way under my shirt, cupping my breasts over my bra. My back arched. I wanted more.Neededmore.

“Please,” I begged.

“What do you need, Monroe? Tell me.”

“Everything,” I panted. “Please. I needyou.” The words were out of my mouth before I even had a chance to stop them.

Clay pulled back and studied me for a moment. “Monroe,” my name sounded like a prayer on his lips. “Baby, I don't know what the future looks like," he admitted quietly. "But I know one thing, I'd really like to figure it out with you."

Emotion tightened my throat. “I swear to God, if you make me cry right now, Wilder.”

“How about I make you come instead?”
