“Er, no,” she answers hesitantly.
“Would you like to feel what it’s like? I’m more than happy to show you,” I say with a smile through gritted teeth. I take a step forward, and as she takes a step back, Drix interferes and pulls me back, moving me behind him. “Hey!” I protest. He gives me a warning glare. I frown, glaring right back at him. His lips twitch, as if he’s fighting back a smile. “Move aside. She needs to know what it’s like to take a beating because of how she dresses and the lifestyle she chooses to live!” I snap.
“Easy there, Chuck Norris. You ain’t about to kick anyone’s ass,” Drix quips.
I cross my arms over my chest and glare at him, promising to kill him a thousand different ways.
He turns his attention back to Ginny. “Look, I made it clear. There is no us. We went out a few times, we dated, but it wasn’t serious. I get you’re pissed, but you don’t get to speak about Storm in that fucking way, or trust me, I won’t hold her back, and you will see exactly what she is capable of, thanks to living inthis lifestyle,” he warns her.
I stand on my tiptoes and peer over his shoulder, looking at her. Her eyes are wide, and when she opens her mouth to say something else, Drix cuts her off.
“Goodbye, Ginnny. I hope you have a fantastic life, but fucking stay away from mine.” He steps back, almost knocking me over, and slams the door shut in her face.
