Thorne pulled out of me, grabbing my hip and shoulder to flip me onto my back before sheathing himself deeper. I winced as he shoved his growing knot as deep as he could.
Leaning over me, he rested some of his weight on his forearms on either side of my head. I couldn’t do anything but look up into eyes blazing the same color as polished bronze.
“Tell me you’re mine,” he said again, low and lethal.
That ferocity flowed through our fated mate bond, filling me with the surety that I was wanted, that he would never leave me, that I was his world.
“I’m yours,” I said, my emotions bleeding into the words. “I love you.”
His hips slowed, and his head dropped, lips brushing over the bite marks he’d given me less than two hours ago. “I love you, Autumn. You’re my whole world now.”
His movements grew shallow, his knot keeping him wedged inside of me. He was right on the edge, the tension in his muscles ready to break.
Reaching up, I dragged my nails down his back. “Come for me.”
His teeth sank into my skin, just hard enough to sting, as he found his release. We were both breathing hard, and I tipped my head back, trying to slow my heart rate.
Thorne kissed over my shoulder and up my neck. Turning my head, I caught his mouth with my own, my hand coming up to hold him steady while I kissed him.
His teeth nipped my bottom lip, and I squeaked. He followed it with a sweet, lingering kiss.
Wrapping his arms around me, Thorne rolled us so I was splayed out on top of him. Smiling, I ran the tip of my fingertips down his ribs. His hand caught mine, pulling it up to his mouth where he kissed my palm.
“So, how long until you guys wolf out?”
Frowning, Thorne tipped his chin up to look at the window. “What time is it?”
“Noon?” I guessed. “I don’t know.”
“Well, it’ll start at sunset. So we have preparations to make.”
“Do you feel different closer to the full moon?” I asked.
Thorne chuckled. “Yeah, it makes us a little wild. I wasn’t too rough, was I?”
“No,” I said quickly. “No, I liked it. You could be rougher. I can take it. I like when you throw me around a bit.”
My cheeks flushed as I admitted that to him.
His hand brushed down my back to squeeze my ass. “Good to know.”
Despite his easy smile, I felt tension in his body and through our bond. Pausing, I considered my words. “Are you really okay with everything? I mean, I know you said you were, but it’s different seeing us together versus just the theory of it.”
“No, no, it’s not that.” Thorne grunted, lines forming around his eyes as he searched for words. “I don’t want to keep you from them. I liked seeing the three of you together.”
“Okay, sorry.”
“Don’t apologize,” he said sharply. “It’s more that I want to be the best at making you come. I want to be your favorite.”
My exhale turned into a laugh. “Okay, good to know I can make you jealous and get nailed really well as a result.”
Exhaling in a huff, Thorne pressed his mouth to my shoulder, trailing kisses up my neck. Sighing, I melted into him. We stayed like that for a long time until he went to get another towel and tend to me. I appreciated the care after being railed fifteen ways to Sunday.
Eventually, I started tidying up the cabin while Thorne began his preparations for the full moon.
“Okay, so is this a ‘pop’ instant shimmer of magic and you’re a wolf, or are we talking horror movie, bones popping, and fur busting out of your skin?” I asked, watching Thorne’s bare chest ripple with muscles as he dragged the mattress out to the porch. He wanted me to be comfortable, and I loved him for it.
Sawyer and Cole strolled through the trees, heading straight for us when they spotted the nest Thorne was building me.
