“To think, we could have been doing that for the last few years,” I said softly.

“Don’t worry, I’ll make up for lost time.” He smirked, turning on his side and gathering me against his chest.

Rolling my eyes, I pushed back against his chest, unable to help my matching grin. It should feel strange, laying here with my best friend, half naked and slick between my legs from his mouth and my own cum.

But it felt so natural, it was easy to pretend we’d always been like this. Reveling in our new relationship, I ran my hand down his chest.

“Can I do something for you?” I asked, reaching down to cup his cock through his jeans.

“Not right now,” he said. “This was just about you.”

“I can’t believe you’re turning down a blowjob.” To emphasize my point, I ran my thumb over his length.

Sawyer let out a groan. “Believe me, neither can I. But we’ve only got about three minutes before pizza will be here, remember?”

Glancing at the door, I realized that meant I’d have to go back into the living room and face our guests—werewolves with fantastic senses.

Thinking of Thorne, another wave of jealousy washed over me. But the emotion didn’t feel like mine.

“Will they be able to smell what we were doing?”

Sawyer’s laugh made me flinch. “Yes, but I don’t think it matters. You weren’t quiet. I’m sure they heard everything.”

“Oh, no!” My cheeks heated, and I buried my face in his chest. “Honestly, I feel bad. This feels cruel. I think that he considers me his mate, like his wife, I guess? But I didn’t choose that.”

His smile was enough to show his fangs. Curious, I reached between us and touched one with the tip of my index finger. Heopened his mouth, allowing me to explore. They were sharper than I realized, and I couldn’t help but imagine how it would feel if he bit me.

When my hand dropped, he ran his tongue over his teeth, and my mind went blank. His lips thinned, pulling up on one side into his thoughtful expression.

“What are you thinking?” I whispered.

“Look, I wasn’t raised in a pack. We were lone wolves living among humans. So there’s a lot I don’t know.” He scrunched his nose. “But my grandma told me a few things.”

“Yeah?” I said, trying to keep my heart from climbing into my throat at his words. I didn’t think I could handle any more revelations. My fingers dug into the sheets as I tried to stay silent and patient.

“Apparently werewolves aren’t typically monogamous.”

“Like, they cheat?” I whispered, horrified.

“No, sorry, that’s not what I mean,” he rushed to say. “I guess it’s common for three or four partners to all be together. I think.”

It shouldn’t have been funny, but I couldn’t help a giggle. “So, polyamorous werewolves?”

His cheeks reddened further. “Yeah, so if you and I are together, Thorne probably won’t see that as much of a deterrent. He’s probably open to sharing you.”

“Are you telling me I could be with him and you?”

His nose wrinkled. “I hate that idea. I want you all to myself. But you deserve to know.”

“I wonder if Cole would come along, like a package deal,” I said in a poor attempt at teasing.

Sawyer swiped his tongue over his lip as he thought. “He’s beautiful, but kinda creepy with those eyes and the whole vision thing, don’t you think?”

My eyebrows shot up. “Sawyer, I was kidding.”

“Whatever,” he said dismissively, a flush rising in his cheeks. To stop me from laughing, he rolled me over and nibbled on my neck until I was holding back my moans.

His phone pinged, signalling the pizza was here. Growling, he climbed off me and gathered up my clothes, tossing them to me. Then he slipped out the door to get our dinner while I quickly dressed.
