Turning on the hallway light, I get undressed right there, forgoing clothes, only in my underwear and topless. Before falling onto the sofa.

“Shit.” I force myself back up to open the sliding glass door, then close the screen and lock it. My ears perk up hearing the sound of the waves.

Cuddled back under the blanket, I close my eyes, but my mind won’t let me pass out. It repeats the night, starting with Cal, but ending with Bohdi. His breath on my ear, his hand on my neck. I squirm on the sofa, my body waking with need. Closing my eyes, I try to force it all down, but the ache between my legs is screaming for me to combat it. Lifting my knees, letting my legs fall apart, I lick my lips; I bring my fingers to my mouth, tongue poking out and wetting them, trailing them down my body, to my stomach and under my panties, caressing the dusting of hair I have. All the while, Bohdi is the only thing on my mind. His smell, his touch, his voice. For so long I haven’t seen or heard him, and now he’s invading all my senses and inking under my skin. My fingertip glides over my clit, sending a shock through me, pulling a moan from my lips, as my other hand finds my breast, teasing my nipple. My mind replaying how he pressed into me on the pier, his breath guiding over my ear, all too familiar, my body knowing it all too well. I’m confused, and he did this to me.

Adding pressure to my clit, I feel it swelling under my touch. My middle finger flicks it up and down, fast. “Fuck.” I moan. Before I roam down to my opening, feeling how wet it and my panties are. I use my index and middle fingers, sliding in and out, arching my back. My other hand frees my breast and finds my clit, playing with it. The moans erupting from me are loud and full of need. The need to come and maybe the need for Bohdi.

Flashbacks of Bohdi and I flash through my head, the way he’d lick me, never satiated, always starving for the taste of my pussy.

My fingers work faster; my panties get in the way. Hurriedly yanking them off, my hands are back where they want to be. I fuck myself hard and fast, my finger applying pressure to my clit. “Bohdi,” I moan out loudly, the name doing something to me as I repeat it over and over, my ass coming off the sofa, feeling my orgasm come to the surface, and all at once, warmth surrounds me. My toes curl, and my pussy pulses around my fingers. I slowly rub my clit, the feeling shooting through me, making me jerk until I can’t handle it anymore.

Closing my legs together, holding my own hands hostage, my head falls to the side, and I see a dark mass jump from the sliding glass door. Yanking my hands out from between my legs, I tentatively stand, wrapping the quilt around me, tiptoeing to the screen. Hitting the light switch, but I see nothing out there.

“You’re out here alone,” I say to make myself feel better. But I still close the sliding door, locking it and double-checking the front door lock.

The waves didn’t lull me to sleep; the comedown of the climax did.

CHAPTER ELEVEN

“Wake up!” Pounding on the sliding glass door shocks me awake, scaring the hell out of me. “Hey! I brought coffee.” I open one eye and see Baylee standing outside, holding up an iced coffee, shaking it. Like I’m a dog, being tempted with a treat… It works.

Shutting my eyes, I roll off the sofa and onto the floor, bringing the quilt around me, crawling to her. Wrapping the quilt tightly, I muster enough strength to reach for the lock and push it up. She doesn’t wait a second before pulling it open.

“Good morning!” She’s too perky.

“My head,” I tell her, crawling back to the sofa.

Her laughing follows me. “Girl, get up.” She makes it to the sofa before I do, sitting down, shaking my coffee once again. Ice clinking.

Lifting my head, I say, “I’m hung over.” I fix myself to sit on the floor, facing her, holding my arm out for the coffee.

Baylee raises her eyebrows, holding the cup a little out of my reach. “You’re going to tell me what happened, because my husband sucks at relaying information. I could have hit him last night.”

I can’t help but laugh, which in turn hurts my head.

Finally grasping the cup, the cold coffee slides down my throat, coating it on the way down. “Okay,” I groan out.

I walk Baylee through my night as she sits there wide-mouthed. “Why didn’t you call me? I could have walked around with you.”

Bulging my eyes at her, “Is that all you got out of that. Baylee, I almost screwed up.”

She meets my look with the exact one I just gave her. “You’re not the one in a relationship.” She cocks her hip to the side.

Gasping, I say, “I’m not like them.” And it’s the truth.

“Sorry.” She holds up her hand. “That wasn’t right of me to say. I would be heartbroken if someone did that to me.”

“I just don’t understand what it all means. Does it even mean something?” I tell her after taking a sip, but I’m questioning myself.

“Was he drunk?”

Raising my eyebrows, I say, “I don’t think so. I didn’t smell any alcohol from him.”

Cocking her head at me, she says, “That speaks volumes.”

Laying back on the floor, I stare at the ceiling. “And what does it say, because I’m lost.”

“I don’t know, but a happy man doesn’t do things like that.”
