One hand is supporting the back of my neck, the other under my ass to hold my weight. So at odds with the brutal way he was fingering me, he gently lowers me onto the couch and whispers, “Bloody beautiful.”
I’m panting and shaking, but when he kisses me, exhilaration floods my veins, and the fall from my high goes back on the rise. The heartbeat-long pause is the only indication I have that he didn’t expect it.
But he doesn’t stop. Maddox keeps kissing me like he’s taking out his pleasure through it.
“You shouldn’t have let me taste you,” he rasps against my lips.
I shouldn’t have done a lot of things when it comes to him.
MADDOX
I have a new rule. Under no circumstances will I be involved in any “icebreaker” activities from here on out. If I need to stand up and introduce myself with my name, occupation, and what I enjoy doing, I will say that my number-one hobby is eating Reyna’s sweet pussy.
It’s my new favorite pastime. To my utmost sadness, I have only been graced with the opportunity once, and I fear I will never know peace unless I experience it again.
My cock has not fully come down in the six painfully long days since I was blessed with her sublime cunt. Watching her from afar—or from the chair in her bedroom while she’s asleep—isn’t enough for me to continue functioning.
Four nights ago, I realized I’d never be content with only interacting with her in class. The most rational solution I could come up with was downloading a tracker on her phone while she was asleep. I thought being able to watch the little dot move along on the screen would sate my need to have her in my sights constantly, but if my restlessness is any indication, I was clearly fucking incorrect.
I pull my coat on and wrap the scarf around my neck as I jog down the steps to the courtyard, double-checking Reyna’s location on my phone. She’s still on campus, moving in the direction of the subway station that doesn’t take her to her apartment. If my activities from three nights ago are any indication, I know precisely where she’s heading to on this cold, sunny morning.
We both have several hours to kill until I teach her class, and what better way to spend it than in each other’s company? She’ll likely disagree, but fortunately, I don’t intend on asking for her opinion on the matter.
I catch up to her as she passes the campus gates. Because I’m feeling generous, I give her time to change her mind about doing something she shouldn’t.
Reyna doesn’t, continuing for the subway that’ll take her to the crime scene I created for her. Her knee-high boots poke out from beneath her long brown tweed coat as she strides down the pavement, blissfully unaware that I’m eating up the space between us.
“Miss Sinaga,” I say when I’m no more than a couple of feet away from her.
She whips around, lips parting on a gasp. “Maddox.”
Fuck. She can’t just go around saying my name like that in public unless she wants the entire student body to know what she looks like when she comes. It’d be most unfortunate because they’d all have to lose their eyes for it.
She looks utterly beautiful in this weather. Her tanned skin is a couple of shades paler, while the tip of her nose, her lips, and the apples of her cheeks are kissed cherry pink. Reyna stiffens with the look of someone doing something they know they’ll be in trouble for.
“Where are you going?”
“Uh, home,” she answers a little too forcefully.
My jaw tenses to stop from grinning. “You are many things, a good liar is not one of them. I am going to throw out some guesses, how does that sound?”
“Like a terrible plan.” She checks her invisible watch. “Oh, would you look at the time. Seems I have to go.”
“I’ll join you.”
It’s cute watching her freeze like a deer in headlights. “Pass.”
“Wasn’t asking.”
“Wasn’t offering. Don’t you have better things to do?”
I curl my fists at my side and use every speck of willpower I have not to touch her. Or worse: kiss her out in the open. “Nothing that’s more important. Now. Where are we headed? And don’t bother trying to lie. We both know you’re not getting out of this.”
“Why are you so difficult?” Lessers would wither under her glare. I, for one, find it endearing.
“It’s part of my charm.”
I watch her stubbornness melt away in time with her reluctant sigh. “A crime scene.”
