I breathe a sigh of relief. Xavier must have glamoured them for me. William must have heard her whisper, because he winksat me, and I realize just how much I love them. I don’t know when it happened, but it happened. They are in my heart, and there’s no removing them. I just have to make sure they know it. We’re all each other has now for family, though I am slowly adding to it. Our family has already officially grown by one with another three in the works. I am going to be completely outnumbered by all the testosterone in this family. I just hope one or two of the babies I’m carrying has some estrogen in them. I hold my hand across my little bump for comfort. Susie sees it, and her eyes widen. Oh yeah, that’s the one thing I didn’t tell her about. I thought maybe knowing he was a shifter who mated me was enough. I didn’t tell her that sometime in the future she was going to be an aunty too.

Before she can pounce on me, though, the house lights dim and the show begins with Eric appearing in a flash of light and smoke.

Thankfully the show is so mesmerizing, and even more so for her now that she knows the truth, she forgets about what she saw. Again, I’m dragged into the first act with Caspian and the other two shifters. Tirrian plays it up to the audience once more, but his eyes are cold and hard.

Cooling off yesterday did nothing to improve his attitude. Dick.

I also get dragged into the mermaid tank by a playful and horny Nikos, who whispers such filthy words to me when he’s carrying me around the pool that my panties aren’t just soaked from the water when I get back to my seat.

Thankfully I can avoid Susie’s questions once more by going to get changed. Xavier is not pleased when I won’t let him bend me over the couch while getting dry.

When I return, I’m grumpy and frustrated, but the rest of the show passes quickly and then it’s over.

We walk out into the foyer with William and John while Susie and Mark gush over the performance.

“You didn’t tell me you were going to be in it.” Susie smacks my arm, and my grandpas chuckle.

“Oh yes, we plan to have her more involved in all the acts as we go on. She will take over from William and Eric eventually and become the ringmaster,” John explains.

“Well, at least then I won’t get hauled around by a giant snake and ridiculous, horny dolphin,” I mutter, and Mark shakes his head, his eyes wide with amazement.

“I can’t even begin to guess how all of the special effects are created. It was so lifelike.”

Susie hides a small smile as William tells Mark about the special effects and animatronic gurus we have on our team. It’s a rehearsed speech that he uses with all humans and special guests who come to the show. That is something I’ll have to memorize one day too.

The crowd flows out around us, their excited voices raving and speculating about the show.

“What are your plans now?” William asks as the crowd thins and only a few stragglers remain.

“We’re going out to dinner. Xavier booked us a reservation somewhere,” I reply.

“Would you like to join us?” Mark asks politely. I’m sure he’d love to grill them a little more about the show, but John shakes his head.

“No, I’m afraid it’s late for us oldies. I’m ready to head to bed.”

I roll my eyes, and Susie claps a hand over her mouth to hide her snicker.

“It’s been a pleasure meeting you both.” William shakes their hands and they take their leave as I usher Susie and Mark out of the circus tent.

“Come on, the car is waiting for us. The guys will meet us at the restaurant,” I tell them as I lead them to the waiting limo.

“Now which performers are your boyfriends? I know you said that Link, whom we met earlier, is the show doctor, but what about the other two?” Mark is like a kid in a candy store. He could not take his eyes away from the show the whole entire time.

“Caspian was the juggler in the first act,” I answer, and his eyes bug out.

“Do you think he will tell me how they change him into that costume so quickly?” he asks, and Susie snorts.

“Are you sure you want them to join us for dinner? Mark probably won’t stop harassing them the whole time.”

“I’m sure, and probably not,” I reply, and he pouts. It’s surprisingly cute. I like this new, open version of Mark. It’s like I’m getting to know him all over again, and I can see why Susie loves him. “They all sign NDAs. My grandpas believe if people knew how it was all done, it would spoil the magic.”

Mark sighs but nods. “Yeah, you’re probably right.”

“And the other boyfriend? I noticed you didn’t say what he did,” Susie presses, and I want to kick her, but she is asking the right questions as far as Mark knows.

“Xavier is part of special effects. He doesn’t appear in any of the acts unless it’s an emergency.” I think back to last night’s performance and how we managed to avoid a disaster with his quick actions. Thankfully Htaed was not brought out tonight.

The limo pulls up at the restaurant, and the three of us get out. The hostess welcomes us with a smile. “Hi, do you have a booking for tonight?”
