“W-What are we, in h-high school?” I huffed, the flood of Nick’s body heat dismantling the last of my faked calm.

“Jesus,” he groaned, low and soaked in a growl against my ear.

I pulled back just enough for my eyes to track the way his tongue darted out, licking over his lips. “W-What?”

“Your scent,” he whispered. “It’s fuckin’ everywhere. You’re perfuming like a goddamn omega.”

He was right; my earthy citrus mixed with his tender florals, like the perfect cup of tea.

“I can’t take it anymore.”

I didn’t know what he meant, but I didn’t have time to worry about it. Nick used his leverage on my hand to pull himself impossibly closer, our chests sealing together so that my shirt was dampened by his sweat and the rain, sticking between us.

“W-What are you doing?” I asked, my voice rising in alarm.

I was sure he could feel the way my hardened cock pressed against his thigh, my stiffened length twitching so much it was like it had its own heartbeat. If I didn’t get out of the car, my secret would be out.

I wanted Nick. Or at least, I thought I did.

Right now, it felt a whole lot more likeneed.

“Just be a good friend and bear with it, yeah?”

I didn’t have a chance to answer before he closed the gap, our lips colliding roughly in an all-consuming, passionate kiss.

This had gotta be the dumbest shit I’d ever done in my entire life.

Not only was Caleb my best friend, so close that he was practically my brother, but he was also, as far as I was fucking aware, straight as a goddamn ruler.

A fact that was immediately brought into question—the black and white of the answer going all shades of grey—at the pleased sigh that escaped his lips as my mouth captured his.

“Sorry,” I said, on reflex. “Just?—”

I need this.

I fucking need you, if you weren’t so goddamn blind that you kept choosing not to see it.

Though I hadn’t thought that deeply about it, I’d wanted Caleb like this… forever maybe. At least since we both were designated as alphas. Back then, he’d made me promise we would pack up when we found an omega. But he hadn’t mentioned it since, so it was probably just a spur-of-the-moment thing.

Plus, just because we were in a pack together didn’t mean we’d do anything together. Plenty of alphas coexisted in packs platonically and were perfectly happy.

I just knew I never would be.

Not with Caleb.

His hand left mine, sliding up my forearm and along mybicep for a soft squeeze before finding a home in the back of my hair, earning him a low growl.

“Stop talking,” he mumbled, kissing me again and again.

I wasn’t entirely sure if I’d pulled him into my lap, or if he’d landed himself there on his own, but it wasn’t long until his knees straddled my narrow hips in a wave of earthy sweetness.

I bit down on his lower lip, the burn of rut demandingmore. More friction, more movement, more stimulation.

Caleb moaned, and I caught his hips, pulling him low over my lap and the hard ridge of my cock beneath my jeans, forcing him into a slow grind that made my toes curl briefly in my sneakers.

This wasn’t like the first kiss we had, the one that held restraint and some level of decorum. This one had none of that. I was fraying at the edges, my need for him too fucking deep to ignore.

“Fuck,” I grumbled, keeping one hand on his hip so the other could wrap around the back of his neck. “Caleb, that feels?—”
