“No. You’re marrying me then.”
Chapter Forty
Mia
I didn’t even say yes.
I can’t help but smile at the fact that even when it comes to marriage he doesn’t ask. There was no way I was getting back on that bike as anything other than his fiancée.
Fiancée.
I open up the group text on my cell phone.
Mia: I’m calling an emergency meeting tomorrow night
Bella: What’s wrong? I was only away for a week
Mia: I’ll explain tomorrow
There is no way I am telling them this over message. I need to see their faces. I want to do this in person.
Harper: Everything okay?
Mia: I think so
Ava: I’m intrigued
Bella: Usual time and place?
Ava: I’ll be there
Harper: See you then girls
Mia: Thanks bitches
“If I didn’t know it was the girls you were messaging, I’d be jealous of someone else putting that smile on my fiancée’s face.” I look up to see Hudson leaning against the doorframe of our bedroom.
“That sounds good coming from your lips.”
“Wife will sound even better.”
“It might do, but we don’t need to rush it. This Saturday is insane.”
“You want a big white wedding?”
“Fuck no.” I shudder at the thought.
“Then you’ll become my wife this Saturday.”
“But why so soon?”
“Because you’re mine. Because I want to walk down the street and hold your hand. Because I want to take you on a date. Because I’m so fucking done with hiding us.”
I don’t stand a chance against romantic Hudson.
“How are we meant to plan a wedding in six days? Where would we even be able to book?”
“We’ll be getting married here and we’ll keep it small. I only need you.”
