Chapter Thirty-four

Hudson

We’ve been hidden away at the back of the club for a couple of hours now. We’re out of sight of the girls; we don’t plan on letting them know that we’re here. Not unless we have to.

But it’s looking more and more likely that we’ll have to.

The club is upmarket, it’s classy, let’s be honest our girls wouldn’t be anywhere else. But it doesn’t matter how upmarket the place is when there are four beautiful women out on their own.

The vultures circle.

Our eyes are currently glued to a group of guys who have surrounded the girls at the bar. It started with them trying to buy them a drink, something our beauties won’t allow after what happened toAva. Now, however, it seems the little jerks aren’t taking no for an answer.

“I am seconds away from doing something,” Reed growls next to me.

“We’re right there with you.”

River nods his agreement.

One of them tries to pull Mia into his side and I’m out of my seat and moving across the floor in a flash, Reed and River one step behind me.

I grab the guy’s arm and jerk it behind his back, pushing it so high up that I know his shoulder is near popping out.

“They said no,” I growl into his ear.

“The fuck,” he gasps in shock.

“I think it’s time you boys moved along.” Reed addresses the other three who are all looking at their friend with their mouths hanging open.

“To a different club,” River adds.

I shove the idiot away from me and into his friends who all hurry to the exit.

Pathetic fuckers.

We turn to the girls to find them all staring at us with smirks on their faces.

“You owe me fifty bucks.” My girl turns to Harper and holds her hand out.

“You bet on us?” I laugh.

“You’re damn right I did. Though, I didn’t bet onyoushowing up.“ She frowns at me as if she’s confused that I would be here with the guys.

“I told you. You’re mine, just like they’re theirs.” I nod toward the girls who are currently wrapped in the arms of their fiancés.

“Bit different, they’re engaged.”

“Trust me, baby girl, there’s no difference.”

We’ve stepped back to let the girls enjoy their night. We’ve let them have the bachelorette they wanted but every single person in this club knows that they’re taken. That they have to go through us three to get to them.

I’ve watched her laugh, I’ve watched her drink, and I’ve watched her dance.

I don’t know how much more I can take.

“I can’t do this for much longer,” River mutters as he subtly adjusts himself in his pants. The three of us have been doing it all night.
