“I’ve noticed.”
His thumb brushed the freckles near my collarbone.
My breath caught.
Shane’s gaze returned to mine. “Are you sure?”
I put both hands against his chest.
“Yes.”
Then I kissed him.
His lips parted beneath mine with a sound that went straight through me. I pushed him back one step, and Shane followed my direction without resistance. His palms settled at my waist, firm but waiting.
I kissed him harder.
He tasted faintly of lime and electrolyte drink. His lips moved with the same control I’d watched onstage, but the restraint lasted only until I caught his lower lip between my teeth.
“Cassidy,” he breathed.
“That’s my name.”
“I’m making sure I can still say it.”
I slid my fingers into his hair. He bent enough for me to control the kiss without stretching. When his palms moved beneath the hem of my tank, he stopped at my bare waist.
“Tell me what you want.”
“Take it off.”
Shane lifted the tank over my head and dropped it beside the bed.
His gaze moved across my breasts.
I resisted the urge to cover myself.
“You can touch me,” I said.
“I’m trying to decide where to start.”
“You’ve been staring at my shoulders for two days.”
“I’ve been trying not to stare.”
“That effort was also unsuccessful.”
He bent and pressed his lips to one freckled shoulder.
The first sweep of his tongue sent a shiver through me.
“Shane.”
“I’m starting here.”
His lips traveled toward my neck. He kissed the pulse beneath my jaw, then moved across my collarbone while his palms followed the curve of my waist.
I tugged his hair until he raised his head.
