PROLOGUE

Meredith

My gaze lands on his blond, shoulder-length hair that I ran my fingers through, pulling on the strands. His blue eyes framed in thick lashes are gentle and sweet on the little girl in the other woman’s arms.

He’s wearing all black—boots, jeans, T-shirt, and the leather cut that boasts his position as an enforcer for the Serpents of Chaos motorcycle club.

He’s tall, lean, and has no visible tattoos, but I know he has one, because I kissed all the way across the big skull with the serpent slithering through its mouth on his back.

He kisses the little girl on the cheek, then smiles down at the woman, laughing at something she says.

When he tucks back a lock of her loose, thick, dark hair while staring into her brown eyes, the moment feels very intimate. Like, I don’t want to interrupt them.

If I saw them like this without knowing the context, I’d think they were a family.

I mean, I guess they are.

But he’s not taken by her.

He’s mine.

And a few nights ago, he was on his knees with his mouth tasting my pussy.

BONES

Two Weeks Ago

Meredith Shannon…

Thirty years old.

Expressive hazel eyes.

Chin-length dark hair.

Psychologist…

And my latest obsession.

On paper, she’s a fucking saint, but I know she has to have some skeletons in her designer closet. No one is that perfect.

She volunteers at an animal shelter.

She stops on the street and gives money to people experiencing homelessness.

And she wears fucking heels bigger than some men’s dicks.

Did I mention that she’s beautiful? Stunning, even. Xanthe, my MC brother Ghost’s old lady, was onto something when she recommended her to me for someone to speak to.

Did she genuinely think I could reveal my deepest, darkest secrets to someone that hot?

Fucking her might make me feel better. The club pussy is getting old, and so is watching my twin brother, Skull, have his own family without me. We both look after our daughter, Natalia, and we are building connected houses next to each other, but it’s a lot of change, and sometimes I wish that things could go back to the way they were.

Hell, he even let me share his old lady, Isla, once, so I can’t even hate on him.

I love my brother. He’s the better part of me. He’s the calm to my chaos, the wise to my recklessness. And without him tethering me, I’m a loose cannon.
