I nod and give her a smile.
“You’re just as cute as he said you’d be.” She grins at me.
“He told you about me?”
“Sure did, honey. I’m Patricia, by the way. You enjoy, sweetie. If you want another, come see me.”
“Thank you, Patricia.”
She gives me a wink as she walks away, and Becky nudges my elbow.
“Free entry and free drinks, your boyfriend is trying to impress me.”
I grin at her, but she’s always been Team Killian. I take her hand in mine and lead her through the crowd. After making our way to the roped-off area, we’re let straight through. Killian has given my name everywhere, so I don’t have to pay for anything. I can’t help but feel special as we take our seats.
“Okay, if I say anything inappropriate or derogatory aimed at your boyfriend and his body, I just want to let you know that while I know it’s uncalled for, I mean every word. Also, if you fuck this up, I call dibs. I’m gonna climb him like a tree and not spare you a second thought.” She shrugs.
“Not gonna happen.” Rolling my eyes at her, I smile, relieved that she’s forgiven me. We watch the lower-ranking fights. I wince and flinch with every hit and kick, every crunch of bone, every speck of blood that falls on the canvas. I can’t really see the appeal; however, Becky is like a dog on heat and can’t not say what her vagina is feeling, like it’s its own person. I groan at the comments she makes about what she’d let the guys do to her.
“Don’t worry, I won’t discriminate against Killian; he can do all the nasty things to me, too.”
“You’re gross.”
“This is true. Make sure you tell him that, so he knows,” she winks, smirking at me, and I shove her hard enough to nearly knock her off her chair.
The noise from the crowd during every fight is loud and echoes through the high ceilings. The heat is stifling. The cider is warm, at least it’s wet. The time comes for the main event to start, and Becky grips my hand tight.
“You okay?” She turns, looking genuinely concerned.
“I can’t decide whether I want to puke or pass out.”
“He’ll be fine.”
I nod, but my palms start to sweat, my mouth dries, my heart is pounding, and I can’t stop my knee from bouncing.
They announce his opponent first; the guy comes out, he’s huge, loud and brash. He yells and pounds on his chest, and I roll my eyes. But then they shout Killian’s name.
As he walks to the cage, I stare at him, his head down, hood pulled up. He looks fantastic. Now, I don’t know if I want to throw up or come because either is possible. When he steps into the ring and removes his hood, the crowd goes wild. I can’t help but stand and turn to stare at everyone screaming for him, for my boyfriend.
“Holy shit, Scott. You lucky fucking bastard,” Becky screams. She jumps in the air and starts clapping, whooping, and yelling for Killian. He steps to the centre, staring at his opponent, nods, and steps back. That’s when he makes eye contact with me and gives me a cheeky wink, and I have to sit back down. My legs feel weak, and my dick jumps to attention. I slide my sweater off and screw it up in my lap, and Becky nudges me.
“I think even I have a hard-on after that.” She fans herself, blowing out a breath.
I stare at the ring. The bell makes me jump, startling me from my thoughts. I watch him, the way he moves, the way he flows. His muscles ripple, a slight sheen of sweat coating his skin. His tanned skin glistens, and the tattoos look sexy. My name decorates his ribs, nestled beautifully among his other tattoos, and I can’t help but smile. My cheeks flush as I think about the way his body is moving, the way his muscles are flexing, and it reminds me of how he looks when he makes love to me. I groan, tilting my hips and squirming in my seat as I stare on, mesmerised that this god of a man is mine.
I can’t tear my eyes away; my mouth drops slightly open at the way he throws his opponent around. He’s a big guy, but Killian is fast, reallyfast and graceful. The way he punches, kicks, and grapples.
When the bell rings, I blow out a breath I hadn’t realised I’d been holding it for the longest moment, each round melts into the next until Killian takes a stray elbow to the eye, my hands shoot to my mouth as his eyebrow splits. Blood trickles down his face as the bell goes. I hold my breath again while Jerry fixes him up, pressing and poking at the split. He looks relaxed, though, even tossing me a wink. I try to chill, but I feel on edge now that he’s injured. He has a few bruises starting to darken his skin. And I stare at him, hoping he’s not too badly hurt.
After he takes the guy down and almost knocks him out, Killian is announced as the winner. His hand is raised. Jerry grins before heading to the dressing room.
“Oh my God, dude, that was orgasmic.”
I startle, flicking my eyes to Becky, but she’s just grinning at me. “I should go and check on him.”
“Walk me out first. Then you don’t have to worry about me.”
I rush Becky to the exit, and she climbs into the car.
