“Yup. And that might make life easier to live,” Jude agreed. “Now, why are you running away?”

“Because I’ve brought harm to Mike’s door, I’m going to take care of McKay.” I pushed myself up, brushing my ass and legs down.

“By yourself? Why? You’ve got an entire MC and ACI at your command. Nobody fights alone,” Mike asked.

“But Raven and Robin are in trouble because of me,” I insisted, and Mike laughed.

“No. They’re in danger because of McKay. Even if ACI weren’t involved, McKay would strike at me because of you. Dynamo, assholes see me as the weak link because I’ve family. Those who thought that are wrong, because I’m the strongest fuckin’ guy we have. I won’t break, won’t quit, and I never let an enemy walk away because of those girls,” Mike stated.

Damn, I envied Raven and Robin for a moment. Imagine having that type of adoration aimed at you, and then I shook my head. Actually, I could; my brothers and sisters offered that love, but I’d been too wrapped up to accept.

“Let’s go see what Caleb has tracked down,” Jude said, and Mike carefully took my hand. I hated that he had to be so careful. Now I understood I had a condition, an illness; I swore to get treatment. This whole time I’d thought it had been a personality change. PTSD didn’t make me weak at all; no, that meant I’d survived.

“Anything?” Jude asked as we re-entered the command room.

“McKay’s a ghost. Since the RBMC,” Caleb pointed at me, “blew up the Screaming Barons’ clubhouse, the SBMC went underground. Facial recognition is running on those we know are alive. I reckon they’relocal, but Maine is a big place, plenty of places to hide.”

“Look around the Waterville area. That’s where they liked to hang out,” I suggested.

Caleb nodded and started tapping on his computer. Mike glanced at me and then at Jude.

“We need to hack into state cameras,” Mike said.

“Permission granted,” Jude ordered. “Dynamo, would you like a coffee?”

“Yeah, please.” I sat next to Mike as he opened a laptop and began typing. Within minutes, Mike was inside the police road cameras, running facial recognition.

“Won’t they know you’ve jacked in?”

“Nope.” Mike looked supremely confident. “They won’t even realise they’ve been hacked.”

“You’re good,” I said after a few moments.

Mike and Caleb exchanged a glance, and I felt I was missing something.

“There’s a reason I work for ACI, though I rarely go out on missions. Dynamo, I’m a hacker. Caleb ranks top ten, Cipher is second to third…” Mike looked awkward. “But I’m first—my handle is Nobody.”

Stunned, I stared at Mike, taking in his expression and the way he was coming across defensive, then the name clicked.

“God, Cipher is going to freak. He’s been trying to learn your identity for years,” I exclaimed, amused.

“You can’t let Cipher or anyone know. It’s too dangerous for my real name to be out there. Too many countries want me. If an enemy of our countrytook the girls, I’d do exactly what they wanted.”

“Why tell me?” I asked, confused.

“Because you’re my woman, and there shouldn’t be secrets between us.”

Holy crap. Mike knew how to shove past the bullshit and get to the good stuff. I was his woman, and that made me feel warm and fuzzy. I fell silent and watched him work. There was something sexy about how Mike was banged away. Talk about confidence. Finally, he sat back and shoved the laptop at Caleb.

“Programmes are running. Caleb, I’ve accessed all state cameras. As soon as one of those fucks comes out of hiding, we’ll have them,” Mike said.

He stood up and held out his hand. I took it without hesitation; how about that for progress? Mike nodded at Jude as we left and headed towards the stairs.

“Babe, I need to check Raven and Robin,” he muttered.

Robin was spreadeagled on her back, and I smiled. Even in sleep, Robin refused to conform. Raven was curled in a ball with one leg hitched over the duvet.

“Come on,” Mike murmured, leading me into the room next door. It was plain: a bed, closet, table, and chair.
