Hey, at least I didn’t stutter over my words. That's a plus.

“Mhhm,” Sylas hums, a low chuckle that goes right to my clit as Wesley leisurely turns his gaze my way. “Lola Girl has some bite, it seems.”

“Guys, leave her alone,” Callie warns. “Be nice, or you’re going to have to deal with me.”

“Hey.” Sylas raises his hand. “I am being nice.”

“Wesley,” Callie chastises.

Wesley cocks his head to the side, slowly assessing me.

He takes a puff of his cigarette, eyes still locked on mine as he leans forward. There's this intense beat between us that has my heart nearly leaping out of my chest.

This is the same man who had his cock down my throat, making me gag with tears spilling down my cheeks, and who had me struggling to breathe, nearly making me pass out as he used me like a savage.

“Okay then,” he says, smoke flowing from his lips. “Let's go eat.” His lips curve into a dangerous grin at the last word.

Wesley steps back, blowing the rest of the smoke to the side before stubbing out his cigarette.

“Don’t litter,” Callie huffs, bending down to pick it up. “A bird could eat that and die.”

I try not to smile. She sounds just like her brother. It’s kind of cute.

“It’s just a bird,” Wesley says dismissively. “Who cares?”

“I do,” We both say at the same time.

Callie and I turn to one another and smile before we start to laugh.

“I’m not sure how I feel about this,” Sylas comments, looking between the two of us.

“Then it’s a good thing I don’t care about how you feel.” Callie grins, looping her arm through mine. “Nola is my new bestie. Get used to it.”

“He’s definitely not gonna like it,” Wesley chuckles, turning his attention to Sylas.

For a moment, I wonder who he’s talking about, but as we start to walk toward the car, I see Jasper standing there, a murderous look on his face.

His arms are crossed over his chest, his broad body standing tall.

He doesn’t say anything when we reach the car, just continues to glare at me.

If I didn’t know better, I’d think he hated me.

“We have an extra person coming with us for lunch,” Callie informs him, breaking the glare Jasper has on me.

“We do?” he questions.

“Yup,” Callie replies. “So, whose car are we taking?”

“Yours,” Sylas answers. “It’s too cramped for the five of us if we take mine.”

“Sounds good to me.” Callie looksmy way. “Shoot.” She grimaces. “You didn’t actually tell me if you're cool with coming or not.”

“Of course she’s coming with us,” Sylas states, this time wrapping his arm around my shoulders. “Isn’t that right, Lola Girl?”

I think my whole brain just short-circuited.

He’s touching me. I can smell him. He smells so good. I wanna lick him. Taste him.Fuck?—
