Eyes snapping open, I look down to see a large gash in my skin, and someone presses a chalice right underneath the cut, making it burn with pain as they collect the blood into the cup.

My cries turn to whimpers as pain sears me.

“Thank you for your sacrifice,” the room chants.

Then I watch in utter fascination as the chalice gets passed between my guys. Each of them lifts their masks just enough to have a taste of my blood.

Something about it has my core clenching, and despite already cumming twice, need flickers back to life lowwithin my gut.

They take the rest of the blood and pour it into a fire just above my head.

The other men all start to filter out of the room, leaving me alone with my guys.

They say nothing, just stare down at me for a moment before they too walk away, leaving me in the room alone.

Confusion fills me as I struggle to sit up, aching and covered in sweat. Is that it? Is this over? Do I just get up and walk out?

As I’m in the middle of my inner questioning, the guys walk back in, fresh coats covering their once naked bodies.

“Stand,” Jasper commands, and my body quickly moves to follow his orders, my legs trembling as I struggle to hold myself up. I can feel the cut on my thigh still bleeding, blood trickling down my leg.

Someone steps forward, holding out a black robe. “Put this on.” It’s Sylas. I let him help me cover up, wrapping my arms around my body as the chill of the night starts to seep into my bones.

Jasper pulls out a piece of paper. “You need to sign this.”

I’m sorry. Sign… oh fuck. Fuck fuck fuck. How could I forget about the contract!

With shaking hands, I take the paper from his and read it.

With each word, panic fills me.

What do I do? I can’t sign this, not if trying to hide my damn identity.

If I sign this, I’ll be giving myself away. I can’t.

Not yet. Not before I’ve even gotten a chance to prove to these guys I’m worthy of them.

No. I can’t sign this. I won’t.

They must see the hesitation on my face. “If you refuse to sign this, you will pay with your life. Sign, or die, little lamb. It’s your choice. I couldn’t care less either way,” Jasper says.

His words hurt, but I try not to let it get to me. He isn't aware of who he’s speaking to. He doesn’t know it’s me.

And I don’t want them to.

“Sign it, little lamb,” Sylas demands. “Don’t make this harder than it needs to be.”

He holds out a pen. I stare at it for a moment before reaching to take it with my shaking hand.

I need to get out of here. I need to get away from them before all of this blows up in my face.

How did I go from this mind-blowing experience with them to having everything crash and burn around me?

I lower the pen to the paper, right over where I’m required to sign, trying to buy myself some time to decide how the hell I’m going to get out of this. Thankfully, just when I need it to finally set in, my fight or flight instinct kicks in.

Without much thought, without any hesitation, I take a step back from them, turn, and then run. I make it two steps before someone reaches for me, grabbing onto my arm.

Pulling with all my strength, I'm able to yank my arm free from their hold thanks to the silk robe, but I lose it in the process as it slips from my body. I head for the entrance we came through, praying that my exit won’t be blocked.
