“You look fucking amazing,” Sylas moans, looking me up and down.

Wesley steps behind me, his hands gripping my hips. “I want to fucking devour you right now.”

I suck in a shuddering breath, my eyes flicking up to Jasper. His eyes are dark, a hungry look in them telling me he wants to do the same.

“Her father is right here,” Dad points out, making his way up the stairs. “I’m going to pretend my daughter is a sweet innocent virgin for the rest of her life, even when you start popping out babies. Don’t burst that bubble for me,” he pleads as he passes.

I laugh, hiding my face. “He means well,” I tell them.

“We know,” Jasper grumbles. “Come on, Lotus Flower. I have someone who’s dying to see you again.”

Jasper wraps his arm around my shoulder, leading me into his house.

Out of everyone in New Orleans, I think Jasper has one of the biggest houses. At least the biggest you’d find in the garden district.

“No classical music?” I ask as we walk into the ballroom.

“Fuck no,” Jasper grunts. “My house, my rules. I highly doubt many of these people actually enjoy it anyway. It’s mostly for aesthetics.” He rolls his eyes.

We stop, and I turn towards him, hypnotized by his beauty. This man is so much sexier than any K-pop star.

Reaching up, I brush my finger over his lip ring. He watches me like a hunter watches his prey, but he doesn’t stop me. I let my fingers trail over his cheek, down his jaw, and over his throat. They linger on the tattoos under his ear.

Jasper snatches my hand, and for a moment, I think he’s going to push it away, but he doesn’t.

With his eyes on mine, he brings the palm of my hand up to his lips and presses a soft kiss there.

I suck in a breath, my heart going from zero to a hundred in a second. And then with a soft growl, he bites down onto the flesh of my palm.

I have to bite back a moan, and it’s a good thing because someone nearby clears their throat.

Jasper’s eyes flick up to see who it is, and when he does, his face softens. For a moment, I’m jealous, wanting to stab whoever the fuckmade him look like that. But when I turn around, I see it’s his mother.

She gets a pass. The only pass.

“Mom.” The softness in the way he speaks to her makes my heart melt.

“I knew it,” she laughs, shaking her head. “I told this boy so many times to get his head out of his ass and just make you his. But he’s stubborn, just like his father.”

“Mom,” Jasper groans as I giggle.

“It’s okay,” I tell her. “I made sure to show him just how silly they all were being.” I smile up at Jasper, who glares down at me, but he lets out a sigh before bending down and pressing a possessive kiss to my lips.

“I’ll let you two talk. Be good,” he warns.

“Sorry, but I think you have me mixed up with the old Nola.” I grin.

He shakes his head and turns around. “This woman is going to be the death of me,” he mutters under his breath.

“Always so dramatic,” his mother laughs.

Amelia Park is a gorgeous woman with long black hair and bright blue eyes. Jasper might get his looks from his father, but his gene pool isn’t hurting, that’s for sure.

“Hi.” I smile up at her, excited to see her again.

“Lola,” she sighs happily, reaching up to cup my face. “It’s been far too long.”

“It has,” I agree.
