“Yet,” Callie adds, checking the guys for a pulse. “But they will soon. And then we can be sister-in-laws.” Callie’s eyes light up. “Oh, this is going to be amazing! I love our lives.”

“What’s going on?” the girl asks, her head snapping between the two of us.

“They’re alive,”Callie confirms.

“Thank fuck,” I breathe out, relief flooding me. “Put these on, will you?” I ask the girl.

She takes her clothes and quickly gets dressed.

“I don’t know what's going on here, but I’m leaving. I didn’t sign up for this,” she mutters as she slips on her jeans.

“Pretty sure you did,” Callie retorts, opening the bottle and adding the chloroform to the rag. “Now, be a good girl and go night-night.”

The girl goes to turn around to face Callie, but Callie is faster. She steps behind her and brings the rag over the girl's mouth.

The girl tries to fight, but my bestie holds on like a koala. After a few seconds, the girl’s body starts to grow limp.

“There we go.” Callie grins down at the body as she lets it drop to the ground. “Thanks for getting her to put her clothes on first.”

“I sure as hell didn’t want to mess with a naked body.”

“Same.” She nods.

Callie goes into the hallway, getting the cleaning trolley, and rolls it to the room. “Help me get her into the trash bag part.”

“At least this will be a lot easier with some help.” I look around. “Here, bring the trolley closer to the couch.” I point to the other empty couch.

Callie does, and we each grab an end of the girl. We step up onto the couch, using it for extra height to lower her into the yellow heavy-duty trash compartment.

“She folds in there nicely,” Callie comments, looking down at the girl. “Okay, you grab the blood, I’ll get her into your dad’s truck.”

“You sure you can do it on our own?” I ask.

“I might be tiny, but I’m strong.” She grins, showing off her arm muscles.

“You are.” I nod, laughing. “Okay. Call me if you need any help.”

“Got it.” She pushes the cart out of the hotel room, leaving me alone with the guys.

I stand over them, watching them sleep for a moment.

“You guys are so cute.” I smile down at them. “I’m glad this worked out this way. One less girl you’ve slept with. But I hope you understand why she has to die.”

Grabbing everything I need from the bags, I start setting everything up.

One by one, I draw blood from each of the guys.

Whatever they took, it must be strong because other than a few twitches, they didn’t move or stir at all.

Once I get the last vial of blood, I place them into the bag and clean up, shoving the trash into the bag as well.

I’m on my way out, stepping over each of their legs to get past them, when I end up tripping over Wesley’s legs, which sends me tumbling right into Sylas’ lap.

My eyes widen in panic when Sylas lets out a grunt. I try to scramble to my feet, but Sylas grabs me. “Where do you think you’re going?” he mumbles, his voice low and husky. My eyes snap up to his to see him looking down at me with sleepy, glazed-over eyes.

“S-sorry,” I stammer.

His lips curve into a lazy grin. “Falling for me, are you?” he asks, making an adorably corny joke. Then his brows furrow. “Lola?”
