Chapter Six

I’m about to crash for the night when my cell lights up with a call from Cherry’s, the strip club we own.

“Yeah?”

“Hey man. It’s Shaggy. You’re not going to believe who I just spotted on camera.”

“Who?” I ask, already getting a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach.

“Willow’s here with that chick she runs around with.”

“Who let her in?”

“It’s amateur night,” he tells me, like that makes it all right.

“You call Prez?”

“No.”

“Don’t. I’ll take care of it.”

He starts to say something else, but I’ve already hung up and pulled my jeans on before he gets a word out.

“You’re leaving?” Kaylene goes up on an elbow.

I shouldn’t have called her, but Willow pissed me off and I damn sure wasn’t going to seek Madz out.

“Yeah. Club business.”

“Call me tomorrow?”

“Riding out in the morning.”

She juts her bottom lip out. I forgot how clingy this bitch gets. “How long will you be gone?”

“Hard to say. You know how it is.”

“Well, I hope you didn’t just use me tonight for sex.”

Fuck my life. Here we go. Another crazy cunt pulling out her certified nutter flag and waving it around.

“I didn’t make you any promises. Thought this was a mutual hookup. No strings.”

“Calm down. I didn’t say I want to get married tomorrow. But tonight was good. Like we used to be, and I had a good time. Thought we could do it again.”

“Maybe. I’ll call when I’m back in town.” No, I won’t. I’m not going down this road with her again.

“Drive safe, lover.” She slips out of bed naked and goes up on her toes to thrust her tongue down my throat.

I pull her arms from around my neck. “I’ve got to go.” My mind shoots to thoughts of Low flashing her tits at old pervy men.

Willow’s got another thing coming if she thinks she’s taking her top off for money.

I race to Cherry’s and come in through the back. I find Shaggy in the security room monitoring Willow and fucking Elsie Jo. The two of them get together, and all sense leaves their brains. Together, the pair of them are fearless.

I’d bet money this shit has Elsie Jo’s name written all over it.
