I dropped my head against his chest, panting as I turned away from the camera and looked at him. “I love you,” I whispered softly.
Felix stared at me. He didn’t speak or say anything. Instead, he carefully laid me on my side and tucked his dick back into his pants, then crawled from the bed and over to my computer. He leaned down, his mask covering everything but his eyes, and turned the live stream off.
What?
I sat up, confused. No, I felt embarrassed, instantly regretting what I had said.
Way to fucking go.
Felix turned to face me as he ripped off his mask to reveal a giant smile. “Sorry, I don’t think I heard you. Mind repeating what you said?” He tossed the mask over the camera and walked to the bed, dragging me toward him. He leaned over me, still smiling, the tips of his hair tickling my forehead. I tried to lookaway, bashful, but he only gripped my face, forcing me to look at him. I stared into those dangerous eyes of his, reminding myself to breathe.
“I-I—” I swallowed my anxiety. “Why did you end the live stream?"
“Because I wanted to keep this moment with you all to myself.” His lips gently met mine with a soft kiss. “Go on. Say it again. But this time, just for me.”
I nearly fainted at his words.
“Say it.”
I blinked. “I love you, Felix.”
His smile grew twice in size. “I love you too, Dream.”
CHAPTER SEVEN
FELIX
Bang!
The sound of gunshots continued until Dream had completely emptied the clip of her hot pink Colt 1911. I was slightly worried the power behind it might be a little much for her, but she proved me wrong when she handled the kickback like a pro. She really was a natural when it came to shooting, proven even more so by target practice.
Remind me to never piss her off.
“Ahh! Yes!” She raised her arms high, nearly knocking her electronic earmuffs off. I shot forward, catching her as she smiled.
I smiled back, trying not to completely melt into her arms. “Easy,” I cooed. I then adjusted her eye gear, making sure she was good. Dream watched me as I doted on her. I caught her giving me an oddly amusing look, one similar to what Haze would give when we were kids and he’d done something he shouldn’t have.
I sighed and straightened my posture. “Do I want to know?”
She popped a large bubble of gum she’d been chewing and turned around, tapping the back of her neck. “Check it.”
I stepped toward her and gently lifted her hair to see a tiny tattoo, barely visible and etched into the skin of her neck just below her hair. “What—” I squinted. “D…plus F…?” I gently brushed my thumb across the tattoo.
She spun around and smiled. “Do you like it?”
“When did you get a tattoo?” I was genuinely shocked she had the time to sneak away and get inked, especially with how much time we’d been spending together over the last couple weeks.
She popped another bubble and shrugged. “I have my ways.”
Sneaky little cottontail.
A low growl vibrated in my chest as I crossed my arms in a huff. “You shouldn’t be sneaking off…it’s not safe.”
She spun around, twirling her hair as she stopped in front of me, holding her gun. “I didn’t go alone. I had this baby.” She pointed the gun at me.
I reached out and lowered it. “You’re way too comfortable aiming things at me.” My fingers looped through hers and I pulled her close, kissing the top of her head. “Just promise me you won’t go wandering off again?”
Dream sighed and nodded. “Do you even like it?” she asked in a whimpering tone.
