Unable to resist, I threw an arm around her, pulling her into my side. Just having her near me made every nerve ending in my body light up. She leaned into me, her head resting on my chest. “You know, I should feel pretty jealous,” I said, squeezing her before lying back, resting my hands behind my head, and soaking up the sun.

“And why is that?” Rowan asked, propping herself on her elbow.

“Well…” I trailed off, letting her stew for a moment.

“Spit it out, Phoenix,” she said, the use of my full name going straight to my cock.

Silently, I thanked the gods and goddesses above. “Oh, really?” I couldn’t hide the intrigue in my voice, nor did I want to. “And what, exactly, are we talking about?”

Giggling, Rowan leaned over me, hovering over my lips. “What would you like? We could call it dealer’s choice, since you’ve been so neglected.”

She was teasing me, her lips brushing over my skin. The way she was talking to me, like I was her little pet or something, one who deserved a treat, was insanely hot. I wasn’t prepared for it, but it drove me insane, making my brain short-circuit as I thought of all the things I wanted her to do to me.

“Hmm…” I kissed her, pulling her to my lips because the taunting was making my head spin in the best way. “Well, I won’t lie and say I haven’t thought of this mouth onotherparts of me.”

“Nix”—Rowan playfully gasped against my mouth—“you’re so hard.”
