I love women in general, but I especially love women who can walk up to me, lean in close, and whisper all the nasty thingsthey want to do to me. Even better when they don’t whisper and say it right to my face, within earshot of passersby.

Which is exactly what she did, turning me on beyond belief.

God, I haven’t gotten that hard that fast since high school when I accidentally caught Mrs. Kemp skinny-dipping in her pool.

And it’s not just the boldness. It’s also the fact that she’s sexy as all get out, though she's not as obvious about it.

She’s not wearing a bikini like the rest of the people at this pool party, but she is wearing a one-piece and a cover-up that does absolutely nothing to conceal the killer curves.

Her body has more twists and turns than a fucking back road, as my uncle would say, and she looks so soft to the touch.

It's all I could do not to ogle her when I walked in here, and I don't think I succeeded, either, because it's imprinted on my mind now, the image of those long, supple legs, the sweet swell of her chest, the jut of her hips, and an ass I can see from the front.

Jesus, how long has it been since I've been with a woman this damn sexy?

Too fucking long in my opinion.

I want to stare at her body a little more, but that would have shifted everything from merely impolite to downright sleezy. Plus, it’s not exactly torture staring at her face either.

She’s beautiful, a girl-next-door combined with an ethereal essence. Those eyes slanted upwards like a cat, the dusting of freckles over her nose, the adorable length of her ears, and the way her lower lip is slightly more plump than the upper. I waslooking forward to sucking it into my mouth until some bastard opened the door and interrupted us.

“Jake.”

Fucking hell. The bastard is Adam, because of course it would be him.

"Adam," I say through my teeth, not moving an inch. "I'm kind of busy here."

“Sam was looking for you."

Damn it. Knowing Sam, he's looking for me because he's about to go home or throw a fit.

Either way, I'll have to deal with it before I can continue with the curvaceous elf.

When I finally turn to him, Adam's eyes are on her. I wonder if they've been on her the entire time he was talking to me.

I don’t think I'm mistaken about the flare of desire in them either. Nor the interest I see in her gaze.

A familiar flare of jealousy hits me.

Mine.

I tamp it down.No.

I don't get to be jealous over anyone, much less a woman I just met. That demon doesn't get to control me, and to prove it, I take a step back from her, even though I want nothing more than to snatch her close and snarl at Adam like that one dude from Lord of the Rings.

Instead, I force my thoughts to take a different turn that could lead to mutual satisfaction.

After all, just because I want her doesn't mean I can’t share. It wouldn’t be the first time, and I'm typically very good at sharing.

“My,” she murmurs as her eyes wantonly devour Adam's admittedly good-looking form. “You didn’t tell me your friend was just as sexy as you are.”

Oh yeah, she's definitely into him, and for good reason. Like me, he's 6'4, muscular, roguishly handsome, but unlike me, he hasn't been 'discovered' by agents and hounded to be in magazines since he was fourteen.

“That’s because he’s not,” I say. "I'm better looking."

Adam barely reacts to my response because he's still staring at her, with surprise and lust.

Adam also likes spirited women, with a hint of sweetness to them. And he goes crazy for a curvy body.
