He rolls his eyes and takes a seat on the bed next to me. “I’m not good with pretty words, Sav. I’m the joker, not the serious one. But when I say you’re mine, I mean it one hundred percent. I want us together. You and me. Boyfriend and girlfriend, or whatever,” he adds with a cringe, and I can’t help but laugh.

“I’ve never had a boyfriend,” I state, and that lights up his face.

“Yeah? I’ve never had a girlfriend, so I guess we’ll have to figure it out together.”

“Together,” I echo, and he lies down on the bed next to me.

“You and me, little devil.”

“You know, you can stop calling me that now you don’t hate me.”

He chuckles breathlessly and rises up so his elbow is resting on the bed, his face held up by his hand, and he starts playing with a strand of my hair. “Baby, just because I don’t hate you anymore doesn’t mean you’re not my little devil. Fuck, Sav, that name is literallyyou. You’re brave, and snarky and combative as hell when you want to be, and I wouldn’t change that.”

“Harley, I…” My words trail off, unable to even find it in me to respond to what he’s saying. It’s true that I’ve always been myself with him, yet I rarely show that side to others, so for him to like a part of me only he knows? It means so much more than I could ever say.

It means everything.

Hemeans everything.

And so, I do the only thing I can think of to show him that. I press my lips to his and pour everything I’m feeling into it. Every thought and every emotion I’m too afraid to voice aloud.

All of it and all of me is his.

SIXTY

HARLEY

After averyintimateafternoon with Savannah in my room, we finally came up for air and sustenance.

I’m still not sure what made her sneak in in the first place, but I’m not sorry about it. She can break in as often as she likes as far as I’m concerned.

Things have been moving so quickly, I’ve barely had time to breathe, but somehow it makes sense for us.

“I’m not sure about this,” she murmurs, pausing at the door to my room, and I cock my head, confused.

“Not sure about what?” As soon as the words leave me, I start to panic. Is she talking about us? Is she not sure we should be together after everything that’s happened between us? Is she changing her mind?

Fuck, I really hope not.

Savannah turns back to me and swallows thickly before whispering, “These are your friends, and I’m… well, I’m the one who hurt you.”

That’swhat she’s worried about?

I scoff. “Oh, please, most of them already love you. You’realready close with Lana and Logan, and Iknowyou’ve spent time with Gracie.”Because I’ve watched you more than you realize.“And Cole and Noah are happy so long as the girls are happy. I promise, everything will be fine. Besides, I’m pretty sure they’re more pissed at me than you, after how I went about things.”

She bites her lip and I have to steel myself not to drag her back to bed at the sight but luckily, she gives me a determined nod and opens the door.

That’s my little devil.

SIXTY-ONE

SAVANNAH

I’m notsure why I was so worried about hanging out with everyone. Harley was right about me already being friends with Logan, Lana and Gracie, so everyone just fell into a normal conversation, and it hasn’t been weird with me here.

We’re all currently huddled around the kitchen table, three boxes of pizza between us as everyone digs in. Lana and Cole are bickering with each other, while Noah fusses over Gracie, and Logan scrolls through his phone.

But Harley? Harley hasn’t taken his eyes off me for more than a single second since he sat down opposite me.
